Good news for Morgan as this would earn him some serious money

Good luck to him. It may also show Irish teens playing cricket that it could be worthwhile staying in the sport. There are a lot of good youngsters playing the game here.

£134k for Eoin Morgan. Very good work by the guy. I personally think he'll be a hit in the IPL, even if I don't like T20 at all. He has the skill and the cricketing brain to really make a go of this.

Is Morgan ever going to win a test cap or is his style just unsuited to test cricket?

Tough question. I personally think he has the skill, however his temperement may not be suited, but without knowing the guy personally I can't be sure. He also has the problem that Enlgand seems intent on playing five bowlers in their test XI, which means one less middle-order spot for Morgan to get into compared to countries like Australia that go with four bowlers. In saying all that, he's really not that far down the pecking order for the middle order, especially now that Trott seems to be not that good.

In short, I think he will get a cap before too long, but whether he can keep his spot will be entirely down to him, and is a bit too tough to call.
