Who are people backing for the masters?
All in the title really..any thoughts?
'I've played for this team for ten years some guys for 11 or 12 and I've loved every minute of it...It was worth the wait. I love Leinster and i couldn't have won it with a better bunch of players' Brian O'Driscoll.
Re: Who are people backing for the masters?
Tiger @ 7/2 to win & Els @ 12/1 each way
Harrington is 14/1
McIllroy is 25/1
Harrington is 14/1

Re: Who are people backing for the masters?
The Masters by and large is about experience.....experience of playing this particular course (notwithstanding Immelmans victory). It's as quirky a course as a golfer will ever play and takes years to master(no pun intended). Els is the form player going in but his short putting is atrocious at the moment. Augusta will give your putting game a rigorous examination therefore....
My tuppence worth for this year is as follows
Win - Harrington
Each way - Paul Casey.
Strong possibility- Woods to miss the cut.

Lee Westwood. 24/1
Re: Who are people backing for the masters?
Els is the man in the form but his record in recent years at the Masters is pretty poor. I have Mickelson each way at 14/1. He's always plays well at Augusta.

Correct Dipper, Mickelson has a good record at Augusta but I take you have not been watching him thus far this season?dipper wrote:Els is the man in the form but his record in recent years at the Masters is pretty poor. I have Mickelson each way at 14/1. He's always plays well at Augusta.
He is playing awful Golf, the worst of his career. So far this year he has 1 Top ten finish and has broken 70 in a final round a measly once!
Coupled with his dramatic weight loss and erratic swing i'd be amazed if he figures this year.

He seems to be doing the business. I would prefer Westwood to win though.Sauvignon Blank wrote:Correct Dipper, Mickelson has a good record at Augusta but I take you have not been watching him thus far this season?dipper wrote:Els is the man in the form but his record in recent years at the Masters is pretty poor. Cheers. PP were paying first 5 pre-tournament, but I got hit with the dead heat rules. Still, a nice winningArmchair wrote:That was a nice bet! Well donesuisse wrote:KJ Choi - 75/1

Re: Who are people backing for the masters?
Well, SB, were you amazed? Mickelsons shot from the trees, last par 5 if memory serves, was shot of the tournament. Felt a bit sorry for Westwood though, never really got into his rythym on Sunday. Had a €20 double on Leinster and Padraig.... at least I got one right!!dipper wrote:He seems to be doing the business.
