Ah fock..... sure the entire bbc commentary team think this is Murray's year!! It's sure to be a good match on Friday but I think Rafa is simply a class above Murray.

Absolutely!sarah_lennon wrote:C'mon Rafa!
People who are putting Murray forward as favourite need to recall how badly he was hammered by Nadal the last time they played on this surface.

Murray's really beefed up his serve since then though. I reckon Rafa's stronger and the UK-media pressure on Murray will help him and hinder Murray. If Murray loses he'll be Scottish againtackle-bag wrote:Absolutely!sarah_lennon wrote:C'mon Rafa!

Murray has been in good form throughout the tournament whilst Nadal has struggled at times. I think Murray will win. Not sure if he could handle the pressure of winning the final against one of the other two though.
The sport that unites Catholic, Protestant and dissenter has had its day of days. Pity anybody who can't enjoy it. Some day.

+1 =, with Djokovic going home with the tin cup.
Of course all of this before (ahem) Britain goes into Murraymania.

Nice to see David Beckham's jonah like presence was enough to make Murray collapse as comprehensively as England.
Seriously though, did the camera really need to focus on him every five minutes? If the bloody Queen was there, she wouldn't have gotten as much attention.
Britain have really become a celebrity obsessed nation!!!!

Who's the nob doing the post-match interviews on the BBC?
To Nadal: "You almost felt sorry for Andy didn't you? I mean you would like to let him win, especially on his big day, but you couldn't let him win cause that wouldn't be right?"
Nadal: "Que?"

I still can't believe that. There was almost a sound of desperation in his voice as he asked it, pathetic.Donny B. wrote:Who's the nob doing the post-match interviews on the BBC?

Re: Wimbledon 2010
The men's final was a bit of an anti-climax in the end, really thought Berdych was showing the kind of form that meant he would put up a better fight.
The most important question in men's tennis now becomes whether Nadal will be able to claim the record number of Grand Slams. If he stays fit, I have no doubt that he will. He's only recently turned 24 so should have at least another 6 years of top flight tennis in him. It's difficult to foresee him losing very often at Roland Garros or Wimbledon during that period, and he's bound to grab a couple of titles on hard-courts too.

Congrats! Apart from that bit of good news it was a fairly average Wimbledon really. Apart from THAT match there wasn't a whole lot to get excited about.sarah_lennon wrote:Woo Hoo!sarah_lennon wrote:

Early rounds were quite good when you think that Fed was taken to a 5 before he was beaten and Nadal had two 5 setters. Unfortunately the Men and Women semis and finals were total anti-climaxes!LeRouxIsPHat wrote:Congrats! Apart from that bit of good news it was a fairly average Wimbledon really. That's it in a nutshell. Very disappointing men's final for sure.sarah_lennon wrote: Early rounds were quite good when you think that Fed was taken to a 5 before he was beaten and Nadal had two 5 setters. Unfortunately the Men and Women semis and finals were total anti-climaxes!
