The 7 places looks great but hey cut this to sh&t by the time they have fella's in tied position, so if you have a 1st, joint 3rd and a joint 4th or 5th, there's every chance that there will not be a 7th spot and the next could be a joint 11th.

You are correct, but that is where they apply the draw rules and divide the place pot further, by the number that are tied in that position. In your example they'd be dividing the place pot (which is around a quater the win) by ten.
Don't spend it all in the one shop!!!
The reverse can be true however where you could fare out better with your selection being 7th on their own as opposed to being say, joint second with 2 others where the 1/4 winings would be split again in 3.[/quote]

At least McIlroy got joint third but I think his putting will need to improve before he wins a major.

To win a major by such a big margin is a poor reflection on the rest of the 'chasing pack' (ahem), nobody put any pressure on Oosthuizen on Sunday.
Back to the drawing board for Harrington. I fear he's lost what made him great.
Woods travails illustrate just how good a putter he has been but when his putter goes cold he's no worse or better than the rest.
McIlroy will learn from this, Westwood just doesn't have the game to attack a lead unfortunately whilst McDowell is really finding form.
Casey's drive on 12 was a shocker, he went for glory but that wasn't the hole to try it on.
Irish, British & European golf arguably has never been stronger and we should be monopolising the majors.
