As far as I can recall his folks are actually from Belfast, or at least one of them is. I think he'd be a great way for them to go, whatever his failings with us he does seem to be able to work well with limited resources and at identifying young talent. In an odd way it might help the move to normalise NI football and build a bridge between the two fraternities of fans on both sides of the border.

You are right indeed however I would neve say say Rangers = NI. My family from West Ulster are of a green variety however they always cheered for both ROI and NI. So I have a natural affinity with NI. I hope he gets the job
