The Open Championship 2011
Let's open a thread to this with a week to go. Really looking forward to next weekend.
We certainly know of one man that wont be in attendence http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VqY1sISIx2A and of course T. Woods.
Can Rory go back-to-back. Tall ask but the conditions and the course should certainly be favourable to him. (Alone with many others of course. )

I'm sure he will, but it shall be from the safety of the commentary box, sitting with Doug Sanders (perhaps not).Mauler wrote:Wonder if Jean van de Velde will be there???

The chip at 3:20 in http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uUDsPPsLLME was as good as it gets for me.
Having the resolve to finish it out having Flupped it up royally was extremely admirable.
More of this!!!

Paddy Power is paying out on the first 7 places in the third major of the year at Royal St George's. Places are 1/4 Odds on the above tournament.
So any recomendations for long shots to get into the top 7?

Weather is going to be a serious leveller today.
Some of them look as bad as me in those conditions.

Re: The Open Championship 2011
McIlroy is f**ked but Clarke played quite superbly today.
Would be briliant if he can hold it together tomorrow, but I've a feeling one of the Yanks will shoot a 65 or 66 tomorrow to win it.

Clarke must have missed 4 or 5 putts today that. Would have made all the difference

Here comes Mickelson! Clarke's playing well early on but Mickelson's form today is ominous.

And now an eagle to tie the lead!!BlueArmyOriginal wrote:Here comes Mickelson! Clarke's playing well early on but Mickelson's form today is ominous.
The only thing is Mickelson is always likely to blow up if he has to make a three foot putt!

Re: The Open Championship 2011
Clarke and Mickelson both miss manageable birdies to take the leade outright. This could get interesting later on, Garcia just shot a 68 final round, impressive but at +2 overall I doubt he'll come into contention.
