Grantland - you really gotta read it (no rugby articles!)

Post by jezzer »

Grantland.com is a US sports and popular culture site.

It's also the home of some of the best journalism in the world and definitely the best sports journalism I've read. I don't read the English Premier League stuff on it so I've no idea how good that is, but I read just about everything else on the sports side and it's just top notch.

A guy called Brian Phillips has been covering the Aussie Open and his diary of the Federer vs. Nadal match was as enthralling as the game itself. That article prompted me to post this. His bit after the final was not quite as good, but still a MILE better than anything you get this side of the pond (bar maybe the occasional piece in the Observer Sports Monthly).

American sports get great treatment and there's a decent bit of focus internationally.

Try it.

You'll like it.

There's a reason this thread is in the "Other Sports" section. Have you spotted it yet?!!!
