Great text into OTB last night RE: Irish soccer management appointment (due to be announced today).
"Roy Keane will use all his skill to manage the football team and Martin O'Neill will use all his man management skills to manage Roy"
Will be interesting to watch how this one unfolds on the pitch.
As an aside- the media coverage has been jarring thus far.
Some of which is along the lines of:
The results no longer matter, now we have a soap opera to report on.
The glee is treacle thick, in anticipation of implosion.

The hotels and the training facilities better be top notch!

Keane to Manchester? Wonder how the players he's lambasted recently will take that?

No Chance, even if Fergie was only a janitor- he wouldn't allow Keano passed the gatesoffshorerules wrote:Keane to Manchester? Wonder how the players he's lambasted recently will take that?

Re: MO'NKeano
NO chance - not because of the Keano/Fergie rivalry - but more to do with Keane not proving himself to a required level to be anywhere near consideration for the Utd. job. Utd. old boys Hughes and Bruce would be far ahead of him in the selection and there's not the slightest mention of them. Keane is maybe just slightly ahead of Paul Ince in the reckoning though.
