Is it correct that the 4 countries will smallest populations, Iceland, N. Ire, wales &Re of Ireland, have qualified for last 16? The Year of the Underdog!

Albania who just missed out are only 2.8m apparently so smaller than us (Republic of Ireland) at over 4.6m... So we're the overest underdog?

One thing about soccer is that a really good player can lift a sound team to greater heights, and a truly great player can lift a decent team to the highest peak - Maradona in '86 for example
