Same thing happened to myself and a buddy last March heading to Dragons V Munster....we'd only left the train station and a fella walked up after seeing our gear.

we had the same, but had already bought our tickets - wont be making that mistake again!!

I'm reliably informed that the clocks are being changed that weekend, between Sat & Sun..... you know just so no one misses their flight ;)

The Dodger on Chepstow Road is the spot we normally meet up. Only a couple of minutes from the ground, it's got cheap pints, very nice pub grub and the staff are sound.

Met some Dragons fans at the reverse fixture before Christmas and have kept in touch - will see where they are going and meet them. Good lads.

JOIN THE DRAGONS CHRISTCHURCH APPEAL

Meet your favourite players; be in with the chance of winning some great prizes and raise money for a great cause on Sunday.

Dragons captain Tom Willis and his teammates will be raising money for the Christchurch appeal with a raffle over coming home games with the winner being drawn at half time of the regional clash against the Ospreys.

Tickets are just £2 each and the top prize is a framed test-fit Welsh jersey, signed by the 2011 Six Nations squad, with 2 Dragons jerseys, signed by the senior squad also up for grabs.

Fundraising has already begun with Tom Willis joining supporters on the buses to Gloucester, raising £500 in just one afternoon.

“I know that the people of Christchurch have had their world turned upside down and are hurting,” said Willis. “The city and its people have a massive challenge on their hands moving forward. It’s hard for us kiwis being so far away from home at a time like this, but the reaction and support from the people of Wales has been tremendous.”

Look out for the players at the Leinster, Treviso and Ospreys games to grab yourself a chance to win and support a really important cause.

The grub in the ground was great. £3.90 for a big portion of chicken curry with chips (rice not an option). Hot beef roll was £2.50 etc, etc.

I eventually had food! A bar of chocolate in the airport!

Great trip though. A tip for future away trips though, print off back-up copies of boarding passes. Will cut out unnecessary panic attacks on my part!

Despite some of the eejits in the crowd its generally a good place to go - I like the fact that the ground is pretty tatty - its like going back in time and at least there is some soul there unlike the liberty or the new blues ground.
oh and we won - I like traveling anywhere when we win!.....

A cracking afternoon.

And, most importantly, a win.

I was saying the same thing to some of their fans after. It feels like a proper rugby ground, not like the generic lego stadiums the other regions have.

We had a great trip. It was nice to meet a few new faces like Nelly, Bails and a few others.

And yes, the win always makes trips better! :D
