Not wanting to tempt fate, have you made any Cardiff plans?
Obviously nobody wants to tempt fate but the reality is if you want to do it for anywhere near a decent price, bookings have to be made in advance.
So what have you done. . if anything.

Going on the trip organised by our local in Tullow. Boat, coach transfers, hotel & match ticket all sorted. We'll go regardless of the outcome on the 30th, but I'd say a lot of others won't. Have to admit, I'm hoping Munster also make the Challenge cup final, it'll make for some atmosphere in Cardiff.

Not going this year. Would have booked tickets before Christmas if I was so it would have been regardless of whether we were there.
So no, nobody is tempting fate. It's great to go even if your team isn't there.

Have ticket already from my uncle (one of those pesky ever optimistic Munnherites). Will book a train closer to the time.

Re: Not wanting to tempt fate, have you made any Cardiff plan
Flights booked, in to Bristol Thursday after work - home on the Sunday from Birmingham. rail tickets booked, IBIS Cardiff Central booked since last year and HC tickets purchased.
Was thinking about buying Amlin ones but didn't - see they are off sale again (maybe some more will come back online). . .not fussed about that would watch it in a Cardiff boozer if I had too TBH.
If we don't make it will probably flog the tickets, cancel the refundable hotel room and just take the hit on flights and rail tickets(about €60 all up). . put the moolah I would have spent towards some away games next season.

Only going if we are. Can't afford it. But don't care if it's us. Will drive there from Scotland or go to cork if I have to. And sleep in the car if I have to too. Will see what happens AFTER I get a ticket in my hand.

Re: Not wanting to tempt fate, have you made any Cardiff plan
we flew to Doncaster for the 08 final, I wouldn't recommend it ,
If the final was on anywhere else, I'd be going even if Leinster got there, sick of going to Cardiff

Have everything booked apart from tickets for the HEC Final and am going regardless
Re: Not wanting to tempt fate, have you made any Cardiff plan
Flight to Birmingham (out fri-back monday) booked, train booked, Ibis central booked since last June and tickets for both games purchased. Was going either way

Re: Not wanting to tempt fate, have you made any Cardiff plan
Flights to East Midlands booked in January and hotel in Llanelli (too late for Cardiff accomodation but hate the place anyway and will just train it in and out of Cardiff on the day).
If we get there I'll rent a car and drive up and down. If we don't I'll cancel hotel and write off the €58 I paid for the flights.
Don't like tempting fate but didn't like the crazy scramble to get to Edinburgh in '09 either so decided to take a chance.

Have a match ticket but haven't booked anything else as I didn't know whether I'd be working over in the UK by the time of the final. If I am in the UK I'll go whoever is playing.

Re: Not wanting to tempt fate, have you made any Cardiff plan
Stena Lines have a flexi fare which costs an additional tenner each way but can be cancelled with a full refund. Anyone have any experience of this?
They sail Rosslare to Fishguard, I think it's already selling fast.
After the hassle getting over and back to Edinburgh in 09 it seems a decent option, at least you can book the travel over and get a refund if things don't work out.
Edit: just looked and the Friday sailing is selling out quickly, only flexi tickets left, luckily enough. The return on Sun also looking like its selling fast.

If anyone wants to go really cheap you could go the Eurolines route
To Cardiff
Departing the 20th @ 15:30 Arriving the 21st @ 04:15
From Cardiff
Departing the 21st @23:05 Arriving the 22nd @ 11:20
- €60 return.... no accommodation
It's a bit headwrecking, but as I said cheap

The Stena one is approx €260 return for car and driver, plus €56 for every additional adult and €32 for kids.
Leaves Friday at 9.00, arrives at 12.30, leaves Sun at 14.30 arriving at 18.00

Re: Not wanting to tempt fate, have you made any Cardiff plan
Tickets booked since last year but could not get a room in Cardiff at a reasonable price
So four of us on the ferry from Rosslare to Pembroke on Saturday Morning
Back Sunday morning from Pembroke at 2.00 am
Have berths booked on the boat home
Will cheer for either Leinster or Tolouse
