My staying in Cheltenham is purely for monetary reasons but I shall be in Gloucester on the lash after the game!

Don't worry Jim, there'll be more than enough of us going on the lash in Gloucester for the three nights.
To me, staying in Cheltenham or Birmingham is just too much bloody hassle. Cheltenham may well be a prettier town but there will be no buzz there, the Leinster game will mean nothing to them.
One of the best things about the away trips is the craic you have mixing with the locals, the banter, the sing-songs etc.

You'll have to give us the low-down on all the best rugby pubs in Gloucester closer to the trip though.

Was over in Glos a couple of years ago with Ulster ........crackin' good rugby town. We had a few in Sloanes before the game and a few more in Kingsholm. Went over to Mike Teague's pub afterwards (opposite the ground) and can't remember the names of any of the others (surprise surprise) but they are a very friendly bunch. Thoroughly enjoyed the weekend. I am sure Jim will be able to point you all in the right direction of the best watering holes :wink:

Sorry UM, as I say I'm an addict. And you already warned me that I'd be blowing chunks if I drank the 6X.

Anywho as I'm in Manchester this weekend I shall be getting my fill. Of Boddington's that is!

A local pub for local people, there's nothing for you here!!

I really made an effort with the ale over in Bath the last time but it's fecking manky. I'd love to get a taste for it cause the lager over there is lousy. But it was traumatic enough just getting through the two pints I tried.
