There's a bunch of reasonably cheap hotels beside eachother near Bordeaux airport if that helps anyone.

Thanks.. I was looking at that. But looks like I might be travelling alone as the misses can't make it. So hotel will be expensive for single room... Hmm, gonna have to try and twist one of the lads arms....

€42 for an etap hotel room - doubt you'll get a centrally located hostel/fleapit cheaper than that.

The sport that unites Catholic, Protestant and dissenter has had its day of days. Pity anybody who can't enjoy it. Some day.

There are some games you have to be at. This is one of them.

Some games you just have to go to.
This is the game. It could be a defining game in our history.

Stayed In Etap beside train station back in 2007 world cup, it´s fine.

Just be warned one morning and totally sober, I was done by a very professional pickpocket and within two hours they had spent 2,600 euro in one jewellery shop on my Visa and another 1,000 euro on my chargecard in another jewellery shop.

When reporting the theft in the police station, I was told that I was the fifth Irish rugby supporter in that morning with the same problem.
Please pass this info on as it was not a nice experience.

Not the answer to the question but Killester have price per person sharing with single room supplements of at least 50. As far as I can see JWT is just price per person.
Dont Panic!

Any season ticket holders not travelling to France willing to give up their allocation. Live in Tipp so not a season ticket holder, but travel to most away matches.

Have flights bought already.

Regs/Thanks.

Booked Dublin to Tours return with Ryanair. Fly out on Friday, back on Monday. €95 each including all taxes, charges etc. Renting a car, then it's about 3 hr 45 mins to Bordeaux one way... Stop for a bite to eat along the way and it'll be grand.

Drove from La Rochelle to Toulouse for the semi in 2010 and it was grand.... Motorways are great in France...

Booked one of the Ibis hotels in Bordeaux for 54 a night for a room which is very good. Can't go wrong with that! Can't wait now! :-)

That's what I'm doing as well... Any cheap hotels in Bordeaux? Staying with the missus, so a cheap double room would be handy...
AdamK/BGmusic are you doing the 8 hour layover in Bristol or have you found a different way?

DATE: Sun, 29th April 2012
TIME: KO 16:00 LOCAL
CATEGORY: PRICE2, 6 *
TOTAL COST: €53.95 [inc. fees]

* Note on Ticket Category. Tickets are priced as follows: €20, €25, €30, €35, €50 and €60. However within the ticket allocation currently available to Season Ticket Holders (until Friday), the majority of the tickets are in the €50 category (price2,6). So that is where the biggest block of Leinster fans will be. If you are purchasing through a season ticket holder's account, pick the €50 ones and we'll automatically be put in the same section. If you have to wait, wait until we are sent our tickets and I'll tell you exactly what location they are.

Can't wait now... Nervous/excited already...

An educational tour of Bristol and a liquid lunch maybe an option.
