Going via Luton, overnight trip with the penthouse booked at the IBIS in Northampton.
Will wait for LR allocation of tickets.

The penthouse at the IBIS, you flash b$&%@#d. It's like the Celtic Tiger never ended. Guess the rest of us will have to slum it on the lower floors.sheepshagger wrote:Going via Luton, overnight trip with the penthouse booked at the IBIS in Northampton.

4 of us flying via East Midlands and staying overnight in Northampton. I booked 2 double rooms without thinking (we're 4 lads). Thankfully, I did it through booking.com, so there's free cancellation. Otherwise, we'd be topping and tailing!
After some research, it appears that public transport between East Midlands and Northampton are not the best - everything seems to go via Birmingham in that part of England. Hopefully the OLSC will run a bus transfer, as I might look a hiring a motor to/from the airport if not.

I'm more D24 than D4!

Its only about 2 hours on the train. Will be cheaper to get a car though if there are four of you. I'm waiting to see if I can get a ticket before looking into accommodation etckealo1976 wrote:4 of us flying via East Midlands and staying overnight in Northampton. Looks like tickets are on sale for this on the Saints website. Might just take the plunge and get a couple of terrace tickets, save the worry.

Will wait for our allocation to go on sale from the ticket office (says there are three terraces but not sure if you can move around a la Llanelli), wouldn't want to buy in the wrong section.

Adult & Jnr bought there as well.mikey wrote:us too...johng wrote:Booked terrace c. seems to be in the middle.
With our HEC tickets coming as part of the ST pack its hard to compre with our costs, I thought £35/£24 was a bit pricy. But, I'm a bit stingy!
Get in the f%~king bag.

For their cheapest ticket, I thought that was a bit steep too. Although, luckily enough, I am now eligible for the NUS card, so can get student prices!Slipper1 wrote:Adult & Jnr bought there as well.mikey wrote:us too...johng wrote:Booked terrace c. seems to be in the middle.

THe ground is only circa 14k capacity though, so the old demand and supply addages apply.

According to McCafferty AP sides are the top box office draw now in rugby, fighting off the USA and South Africa trying to get them all to go and play there they are so good !Slipper1 wrote:£60 for a stand ticket is international standard prices.

Cheapest ticket to the RDS for a European game is 30 Euros, albeit sitting. Grandstand tickets must be pushing 60?? And the RDS is nearly a third bigger than FG.
