Edinburgh v Leinster, 20th December

Post by TheBear »

I'm heading over to this match with a small group, and I've been told that Leinster aren't going to be selling an allocation for this match. The ticket office told me to go directly to Edinburgh for the tickets.

Is anyone else going to the match?

If so, where in the ground will people be going?

Will probably buy on the gate, any unreserved standing ticket will do as you can easily walk around.

I'd advise to buy online and collect as it'll be £5-10 cheaper. Depends on the weather where to go... If it's chucking it down and baltic, I'll be in the seats.. it's it's dry and tolerable I'd go around to the running track and try get a decent standing spot there.

Still mulling this one over. I am flying early-ish from Newcastle the next day so it would be a run up the coast and straight back the same night. Will buy on the door if I do make the run.

So you'll outnumber the host fans then :) Getting more tempting by the minute.

We got one of those secret hotel deals on Hotwire. €35 per person for two nights in the McDonald on Holyrood.

MacDonald is nice.. sister stayed there when she visited. It's a decent 4 star. I used to be a member of the gym there too... purely for the pool/sauna!!

In summation ..35 spoons is a cracking deal!

I guessed that from the look of the place, so figured I share, in case anyone else could avail of the offer too.

Thanks for reassuring the niggling voice in my head, though. :)

Should be a nice warm-up for Christmas week.

Looking forward to this. Just gonna pick up tickets on the door. Forecast looks dire so I think I'll be hiding in the stands! :D

It's quite nice now but it's set to turn grim tonight. Stands it is for all I'd imagine!

We were standing on the sideline - got soaked.

Edinburgh Rugby could learn a thing or two about trying to get a decent crowd. Charging £20-£25 for an adult ticket to stand (or even sit) is scandalous. No wonder their attendance and the atmosphere is sh!t.

How many would you say were there? The official attendance is 3300 or so, but I didn't think there was even half of that there.
