No but I have been practising my hitting. I've mastered the art of belting the ball and having it travel at speed through the air at about knee-height so that should knee-cap you nicely.

Stop Fockin hijacking my thread

Decided to go with BA as they are more reliable than Ryanair (price wasnt much different)

Was looking to stay outside of London city centre (where all the IBIS's are). . would like to stay near the ground (or around Richmond etc). . will have another look for accomodation over the weekend.

Sorry, sheepy

The only problem with that Ibis, is that it's miles away from Richmond, or in fact anywhere that you'd want to be. You'd either need to go home really early, or spend stupid amounts on a cab. (I reckon it's a good hour drive, at nighttime, and by train, 25 mins from Twickenham, followed by another 20mins by tube, but trains etc don't run that late on weekends. It would be ok if you're flying into Luton though. But still a bit of a trek...)

If you don't want to do central London, then I'd go for somewhere like Putney, Wandsworth or Battersea, which are on the same train line, and busable from Twickenham and Richmond.

Or stick to somewhere on the same tube line, Hammersmith, Kensington, Earls Court etc.

Wimbledon / Southfields are pretty near too. Or you could try Feltham or Hounslow, as they are near. But, they are a bit dodgy, and not places I'd frequent. Especially at night time. Or on my own...

I'll try and get together some places to stay over the weekend, and stick it on here next week, if people are interested.

Yeah most of the IBIS's arn't anywhere near the ground (or even anywhere near it).

The one that Sarah recommended is in east London, out by Canary Dwarf which is pretty quiet on weekend, and as you say is a decent cab fare away.

Will have a look this weekend - have a few other tips from a mate here at work who used to live in the area.

Try flying into one of the more regional airports if there is a direct link like Southampton. Just hop on the train and change at Clapham Jcn for Twickenham.

I would definately aim for an airport south of the River or Heathrow.
