Link is in the public domain again, but I bought my 6 tickets, and got other Leinster fans in work to do the same, think I done my bit.
Anyway, back on topic, how does one get to Thomond Park. I recon it's useless asking a typical Munster fan this question as they only join the bandwagon at the HEC semi-finals hence they believe Munster's home ground is Lansdowne Road, but I haven't a clue. I know it's in Limerick that's about it. If I get the train to Limerick central station, is it walkable, and do I need a Garda escort to get there?

Its a by-pass. You've got to build by-passes.
It is walkable but its quite a distance, I'd say traffic on matchdays is brutal around there cause its a one way in one way out kinda place so there aint much point driving out unless youre going really early and leaving a while after kick off. Its out near LIT, its not the nicest of places in Limerick but the garda escort would be a bit OTT. I'll see if I can get a map to post here, hold on...
Disco tells it as it is:
“I’ve always been a Leinster player. My dad [Tony] played for Leinster, my uncle [Denis] played for Leinster, my cousin [Gavin] played for Leinster. I’m a Leinster guy. I don’t make any apologies for it. That’s my team."

Its on the northside of the city. To get there from the city centre:
* Go north across Sarsfield Bridge, continue for about a half mile and turn right onto Shelbourne Road at the next set of traffic lights (Union Cross). Turn left at the following set of lights (Hassets Cross) and the ground is on your right.
or
* Go north across Thomond Bridge (beside King John's Castle) and continue for about 3/4 mile to just beyond the Hasset's Cross junction. You will see the floodlights and the stand up ahead as you approach the junction.
I found a map that shows exactly where it is but I cant upload it onto photobucket. It has been ages since I did it on this... has the password for leinsterfans been changed?

Just beside where it says "Limerick City" you will see the Dock Road. On the Dock Road is Dolans (perhaps the finest pub in the world), across and slightly up from Dolans is the Clarion. Further up again, but on the same side of the road is Jurys, and even further up again is the Sarsfield Bridge Hotel. All withing walking distance
I have Bumbleflex
Leinster Supporters like all other rugby supporters will be made most welcome in Limerick and have nothing to fear.brian_c wrote:Cheers, nice one. Didn't want to get lost wandering around Limerick wearing a Leinster shirt.
If you are comming down by train walk as far as the Claws or someplace in te City Centre and stop for a pint or two and walk on from there to Thomond Park.

I was joking, but good to know. I'm looking forward from the trip, have only ever been to Limerick once, to watch my schools debating team in a competition held in Jurys Inn back in 1996. Didn't get to see much of the city

Dave Cahill will no doubt be able to give his fellow Leinsterfans guideance on where and how to have an enjoyable night or 2 in Limerick.brian_c wrote:glorob wrote: Leinster Supporters like all other rugby supporters will be made most welcome in Limerick and have nothing to fear.

He won't Glorob, he is still on the wanted list because of the damage he caused at the Railway Hotel some while back..glorob wrote:Dave Cahill will no doubt be able to give his fellow Leinsterfans guideance on where and how to have an enjoyable night or 2 in Limerick.brian_c wrote:glorob wrote: Leinster Supporters like all other rugby supporters will be made most welcome in Limerick and have nothing to fear.

Maybe that was my fault. I gave him a bottle of wine at breakfast even though Langer Larkin advised me that it was far too good for Dave.Lazarus wrote:He won't Glorob, he is still on the wanted list because of the damage he caused at the Railway Hotel some while back..glorob wrote:Dave Cahill will no doubt be able to give his fellow Leinsterfans guideance on where and how to have an enjoyable night or 2 in Limerick.brian_c wrote:
