The Shed was wedged to absolute capacity. The gorilla type security guard had a hard time keeping people off the precious red zone on the steps. It was an experience I have to say - one of the best atmospheres I've ever experienced at a rugby match. The spite from the Gloucester fans was hilarious, all good natured and funny.

I do agree though, the shed was awesome, terrace people really missed out on that one!

Many people bought from both the Branch and the Glaws site. Not all of the ticklets may have been used. Remember - quite a few people were looking to offload tickets...Slipper1 wrote:Did the branch not say that they had sold 2,000 tickets, align that with the evil ones who bought directly from Gloucester, and we should have had close to 2500.

To which we replied "we're through and we know we are"!sarah_lennon wrote:Anywho, one of the original points was that we outsung them, and I think we did. A chorus of "you're not singing anymore" from the home support would lend credence to that
That shut them up.
In fairness any Glaws fan I met after was impressed by the noise we generated. I think a lot of visiting English fans buy into this "Intimidating Shed" business and are fairly quiet.

From what I could gather, the shed heads really hate Bath and all of the London Clubs. They're not too bothered with the rest of them, and certainly not with an Irish province. The banter was really good craic. Chanting Bristol Reject at Contepomi made me laugh. They were loving our Balshaw for England chant.

The Shed was excellent, great banter and fantastic comraderie. They congratulated us on the noise and wished us best of luck for the rest of the season...one even shook my hand and said he hoped we'd go on and win it. Very impressed. Also, i was asked several times had I enjoyed myself which was a nice touch.
'Oh miss PacMan, i'd sex that bow right off your head!'
'Eat those dots, you naughty, naughty girl!'

The Glaws guys near us were really impressed that the Leinster fans knew all the words to "Wild Rover", "Molly Malone" etc. Said that there were lucky to get the chorus of songs. Great atmosphere in The Shed, I agree, Save Their Shed!
by the way, does anyone know if the chairman of Glaws Tom Walkinshaw is the same guy who used own the Arrows F1 team?

Its a by-pass. You've got to build by-passes.

The Arrows team went out of business a few years ago, but Tom Walkinshaw also owns TWR (Tom Walkinshaw Racing), which builds and maintains racing cars, and he is if I recall correctly, currently based in Australia.Slipper1 wrote:

Paul Stoddart, an Australian and owner of the aviation maintenance company "European Aviation" used be the owner and team manager of the Minardi F1 team. He sold the team a couple of years ago to Red Bull and it now races as Torro Rossa, however he retained ownership of the name Team Minardi F1, and intends to return to F1 when costs are more managable. He did submit a bid to be the 12th and final team to enter the 2007 Formula 1 World championship, but was unsucessful, loosing out to David Richards Prodrive team.
Australia is a country in the South Pacific.
All of the above was sourced from my mind and I didn't have to consult Wikipedia once!

I have just realised that I took this thread way off topic, sorry about that. To bring it back on topic, great place for a rugby game Glaws, but not the most "happening" spot on saturday night. Spent the entire aftermath of the game in Teagues bar which was fun, and went back there for Munster v Leicester on sat.
By the way, did anyone else find it a little strange that there were a load of old Dublin Buses knocking about Gloucester? After coming out of the ground, I felt like just sticking my hand out and getting the 46A into town.
