How'd Porter get on?
Also Dardis at 15 and Peters at 9?

Re: Academy 2016/2017
Porter carried well. Dominant in the scrum, he's in good nick. Dardis had a strong first half, looked dangerous throughout. Peter's was okay I thought. Would like to see more of him before I pass judgement. Nures sh experience showed

All Leinster semi finals now:

Re: Academy 2016/2017
Both matches being played on Sunday I think. The Irish u20 players should be back and there will be no AIL games so the selections should be interesting. If Trinity play their full strength u20s, they should be too strong for Navan I would guess but the Lansdowne UCD game would be hard to call.goreyguy wrote:All Ireland u20 quarter finals at the weekend:

Yeah Trinity have to be favourites over Navan... Lansdowne/UCD to close to call.El Diablo wrote:Both matches being played on Sunday I think. Re: Academy 2016/2017
Jack Dunne looks noticeably bigger than his second row counterparts for Ireland u19, neither of who are small lads, i'd say easily 6'7 at 18 with the frame to carry significant bulk. Looks like an excellent TH lock prospect.
Neither u20 prospects at second row this year offer such obvious size, both being in and around 6'5.

St Michaels are a joke at this moment in time in terms of production!
Re: Academy 2016/2017
Not ending soon they just won the junior cup with 1 defeat all season. And their 1st year team won 28 games in a row and finished season undefeated.

Re: Academy 2016/2017
It would appear that Leinster have 4 highly rated scrumhalves at u19 level:
Hugh O'Sullivan(Belvedere)
Patrick Patterson(Blackrock)
James Kenny(Gonzaga)
Tim Murphy(Landsdowne) - ex Newbridge
Not sure how they will balance that situation, If all 4 are academy level players then they should do their best to get all 4 into the academy over the next two summers.

Re: Academy 2016/2017
You'd imagine that Nucifora would be a fan of getting all 4 into academies whatever province if they are worth their spots.goreyguy wrote:It would appear that Leinster have 4 highly rated scrumhalves at u19 level:

Connacht have previous for taking lads not offered spots or only offered sub academy.
Re: Academy 2016/2017
Certainly a possible scenario.. one which as a leinster fan i'd hope we could avoid with careful management.
Maybe they'll be happy to settle for the top two prospects and let the others go elsewhere.
Right now I think Hugh O'Sullivan is clearly the best of the 4, not sure how I'd order it after that.
Be very interested to hear how Murphy gets on today for Leinster A.

can't imagine Trinity wanting to or having to risk their star players just 5 days before the colours match.goreyguy wrote:Yeah Trinity have to be favourites over Navan... Great strength from Sullivan for his hatrick though the defending was a bit Craig Gilroy.
Flash ahhhh ahhh, he'll save every one of us
