The only team we can face away in a semi if we win today is the winner of a Pool with the least points I.e. the fifth seeds. I am pretty sure Sarries can’t win their pool.
My guess is either La Rochelle or Munster (hoping we win our quarter of course) and that means they would be likely to play each other of course in the quarters. As that is a match the home side would be more likely to win the semi-final would be in Dublin.
Nightmare scenario would be La Rochelle winning in Limerick which would in this hypothesis mean an away semi final in France.
Were La Rochelle then to play like they did in their home clash with Ulster and we the opposition, that sure would be a nightmare scenario... Thanks for the correction on the permutations!!!

I don’t fear La Rochelle. We are not Ulster; we would not crumble . Setting aside the specific permutations, I would in general be wary of Scarlets, Saracens, Clermont and Munster- in that order.

Of course I forgot Exeter! Probably behind Munster.

Any decent steams going for someone stuck in South Africa with no coverage here that I can find?

Thanks

We need at least a BP and Montpellier need a BP win.
Surely there’s something to be said for each team running in 4 quick tries and then starting the match proper from there?

Lowe made a good break for the try but has been a liability since.

Throwing this game away so far. Have to really tighten up in second half.

Lowe needs to learn a lot about playing away in France. Some absolutely mad stuff.
RK hasn't been great either.

Our shape is good and exactly what's needed, but we need to cut out the errors. Lots of forward passes too.

Also Leavy and VDF haven't been putting enough pressure on the ball, which I'd imagine is one of our focal points. Need a bit more from Leavy in particular.

Lowe is giving me the heebee geebees.
Adam Byrne gets a lot of stick on this mb for coming in off his line but Lowe must have been giving him lessons.
If we steady down and cut out the fifty fifty nonsense we will win.

No Lowe has been poor and that has a knock on affect.
Particularly in defence.
RK probably doesn't know what to expect next from Lowe

So has RK certainly. Been beaten in the air 2-3 times for balls he normally commands.
Larmour has been quiet but hasn't done much wrong.

Thought Larmour was pretty good, just hasn't got much ball.

Really good start but terrible since we built the lead. Not sure our bench is good enough to turn this around, Fardy would have made a big difference.

Lowe's nonsense means RK can't play his own game.
Picking Larmour and Lowe together for this game was/is too much experimentation.

He missed a couple of handy enough tackles early on - but as you say hasn't had much to do since going either way

Ah stop. What Lowe is doing has nothing to do with RK not making high balls.

Some lovely hands from him there btw. Much better start from us.
