Re: Old Leinster Jerseys
Pretty much off topic, but I was at a match in Lansdowne in the distant past where Niall Hogan [at the time, scrum-half for Leinster] punched Richie Collins [the baldy mustachioed Cardiff and Wales openside] for slapping the ball out of his hand while he was putting it into a scrum. Priceless at the time, because while Collins wasn't a giant, Hogie was – and is – pretty much a midget. Alan MacGowan was outhalf that day and kicked a rake of kicks ... I had always thought it was the first HEC semi-final, but I just checked the team-sheet and Hogie wasn't even playing!
Obviously my memory is f*cked, but does anybody remember which match that was – Leinster vs Cardiff, 15-17 years ago [Jesus, that's a long time ago]. What competition would it have been in, if not the HEC?

It was rank - you may have wiped it from your memory and with valid reason. Also, think it was technically "yellow" the inverse of the standard blue one with yellow stripes - that one with the old logo - 05/06 I think.ratpack wrote: Don't remember an orange one, did we use it much?

I like to think of Jesus like with giant eagles wings, and singin' lead vocals for Lynyrd Skynyrd with like an angel band and I'm in the front row and I'm hammered drunk!

Watch out for the mullet in the 2nd cut.
Sheer mank ok. Gank even! (The jersey that is)
The vid is stirring stuff though. Brings a lump to one's throat. Several members of my family have been known to shed a tear.

Re: Old Leinster Jerseys
Is it messed up that I always loved that jersey??sarah_lennon wrote:I loved and have the yellow one
My favourite official jersey was alway this:
But I don't wear it any more in favour of my all time favourite piece of Leinster wear, last seasons training jersey:
That'll take some replacing!! I like having the blue and yellow on the jersey..
having said that, I also really like the "away" training jersey, but don't have it (but would like to get it):
Pro12 Champions, Amlin Challenge Cup Champions, British & Irish Cup Champions

Was 77 euro. IMO a bit over the top for a one off jersey that will be confused for an old Irish jersey.
