That's the attitude!! We've just won the 6N and you're worried that we're going to be slaughted in Toulouse!!

I'm not spending hundreds of Euro improving my liver, not to mention at least 10 hours hanging around various airports of Europe (assuming that each of about 10 inter connected flights turn up on time), including a taxi ride at some god foresaken hour (about 2am or such like) to see us slaughtered in Toulouse.

We're not going to be slaughtered - they (the French) will be. As we so clearly demonstrated last year - it's perfectly easy for the top seeds to be dumped out of the competition at this stage by the eighth seeds in their own back yard.

So less of the pessimism and a bit more of the old chin up and "YES, YES, YES - WERE GOING TO WIN WIN WIN!!"

Thats the spirit Mort.

If Toulouse click they'll beat anyone. If they don't, any team can take them on any given day. And Toulouse ain't clicked in quite a while.

I'm open to correction on some of the following, but Heineken Cup Stats to date:

Top Try Scorers: Clerc & Felipe, 6 apeice.
Top Points Scorer: Felipe.
We have scored more tries and points than Toulouse this season.
We have conceded less tries and points than Toulouse this season.
We came through a tougher group than Toulouse.

We can take them. Get this "Harlem Globetrotters" idea out if your heads. We're not going to Toulouse to make up the numbers. Allez Les Bleus.

I can only assume Flash is refering to Saturdays drinking performances and if that is the case, he is right to be worried. We'll all be slaughtered in Toulouse after we win

Just a heads up for anyone not yet planning on going to Toulouse, or anyone without a hotel.

Tickets are still available on: http://www.stadetoulousain.fr/#
Hotels have actually dropped in price over the past month or so: http://www.accorhotels.com/accorhotels/index.html

If Toulouse click they'll beat anyone
If Leinster click they'll beat anyone...

...GAME ON!

Agreed Toulouse havent been playing too well of late, and our performance by the sea on Friday was nothing to write home about. I think D'arcy and Drico will be firing by the time they get back into training this week with Felipe.

If we get parity up front, I think we will take them. A lot depends on the fitness/form of Jauzion. he could unlock us quite easily if he's 100%.

The back rows will have a lot to say about who wins this tie. In Gleeso, Jamie and Cletus we have quick strong players, who can get to the breakdown quickly, but they have the Maka brothers, who are dynamite ball carriers, and yer man Nyanga aint half bad.

hmmmm.....

Head and heart not in agreement over this one.... I really fear for the pack on the evidence of the last few games. I would get a big lift by seeing the name of B. Gissing on the starting sheet. We might lose a little out of touch by not having one of Byrnes/Williams, but with guys like Maka running at you, you need a little counter-threat of your own and it's a lot to ask of Jamie to provide the go-forward ball on his own.

Not saying i think we'll lose, I'm hopeful we have the ammo in the backs, but as EOS might say "it's all about getting your hands on the football and then it's about what you do with the football and what you do when you don't have the football and eating full bags of chips while you stay up on the horse". Or as any normal human might say, winning plenty of possession is going to be very important.

DP

Did LM get that for you? If so I'd be interested as I had to buy a ticket on its own because I forgot to ask LM for an extra one for a friend.

If not what's the number anyway?

Replied.

Ok, ticket swap done but it still means there's a spare if anyone's looking for one. Section 23, Row 13, Seat 218.

Speaking of the Maka brothers, it seems Isitolo may have torn his calf.

From the Toulouse website:

"Remplacé durant la première période face à Perpignan, Isitolo Maka souffre
d'un problème musculaire au mollet. Le troisième ligne centre passera des
examens mardi, mais on redoute une déchirure du côté du staff médical. Si tel
était le cas, le quart de finale de Heineken Cup serait plus que compromis."

Tragic.

Who's breener? What, you mean there's another Leinster website? ;)

BTW...for those of you going, to Toulouse, click on the map below for a nice printable map of the centre of Toulouse, with De Danu clearly pointed out. It's in PDf format, so you'll need Acrobat Reader.

Thanks to Phil for the amendments to the original map.
