It will be emptier than a Scottish pay toilet

Theyre relying on Glasgow getting there for even a half decent turnout, need Ulster Glasgow final for any chance of decent crowd

Pro12 have said they hope to get 35,000, Murrayfield holds 67,000

Why in the name of god are they picking neutral final venues? A half empty Murrayfield for the "grand final" is going to be an embarrassment for the league.

theyre deluded into thinking they can do a pre ordained final like HC, Premiership or Top 14 but without the fanbase, guaranteed nationality of finalists, ease of access or sponsorship and history

do Super Rugby do a destination final, do they f***

IIRC it originally had to do with the proximity of the SF and final due to the rearranged league and nHEC schedules. I think that has changed now after the bad showing for the nHEC final last year. The nHEC final and SF aren't on top of each other.

Based on the first two rounds, the league is going to be very competitive this season.
In particular gaining BPs and depriving other teams of BPs is going to be very important.

Despite their prized coverage of Rugby, both BBC and Planet Rugby have problems with their Pro 12 coverage this year so far:

Planet Rugby: a) The News page still refers to it as RABO Pro12 - !!##**!!
b) The Table is from last Season, 2 weeks into Season.

BBC Sports: a) BBC wrongly only gave Connacht 1 point for their game against the Warriors on Friday - they earned a 4-try bonus & a losing bonus point.
b) BBC gave Ulster a losing bonus point against Llanelli on Friday. They earned no points.

Ticket map for final, Bronze 20, Silver 30, Gold 35, Platinum 45 all plus 2 pound 40 booking fee
under 18 tickets 10 and 15 pounds Bronze and Silver only

Image

doesnt seem that great a deal if theyre not expecting a big crowd (as stated)

Unsurprisingly that's a lot of the stadium not open.

I imagine it's been mentioned elsewhere but the Edinburgh marathon is on that weekend so hotel rooms seem to be at a premium.

as ever save the worst tickets for the fans of the finalists

Also Glasgow have lost another hooker (Bryce) to Scotland world cup squad, really hoping Scotland make the knockouts now to weaken Glasgow for their visit here

Finalists only getting 2,500 tickets each - seems pretty low given the size of the ground, even if most of the upper tier is going to be closed.

BIt of a jip. I reckon they're hoping demand will be high so they can just release more tickets as required.

I'll be there, but only because I live in Edinburgh.

In fairness I don't think there's many left to get called up! Besides how weak do you want us?! We'll probably get annihilated in Munster.

Should be able to pick some up in Glasgow, it's only about 40 mins away by train.

Last year in brackets.
Total attendance 2015/2016 = 257,699 (312300)
Total Average = 17180 (20820)
Pro12 Average = 15118 (17661)
RDS Pro12 Average = 12573 (15045)

Big drop off in attendances this season for Leinster compared to last year. Average attendance is down over 3,500/game.

Not on the same scale as you guys but Glasgow's average attendance is higher than Scotstoun's capacity (Not counting the game at Murrayfield). If only we had the right sized stadium in Glasgow.

Last years issues were always going to have knock on effects this year. Add in the European woes this season and we simply were never going to attract big numbers. The RWC didn't help earlier in the season either. If we win at the weekend I'd expect a decent increase next season.
