5?

SOB, Dave Heffernan and Denis Buckley are the only "Connacht lads", who didn't play for Leinster underage teams that are at Connacht.
I just meant Connacht born, so Brennan and McKeon. To be honest I assumed McKeon was from Galway because he's Eoin's cousin, which is obviously not correct.
McKeon is from Dublin.
Brennan is from Clare.

Brennan is from Ballyvaughan, 15 minutes from the Galway border. He played for Galwegians as a kid, hence my confusion.

Roscrea school is partly in Leinster and partly in Munster. (Roscrea town is wholly in Munster) Athlone is partly in Leinster and partly in Connacht. We could have a great hair splitting argument. :)

Luckily it's quite easy, Roscrea play in the Leinster schools cup.

Will all be moot if it goes belly-up.
Has Roscrea always been in the Leinster school's cup? We used to play them every year when I was in school. I think they played a lot of their outside cup games against Munster teams then.
They were in the Leinster cup. We were in the Munster cup but often had quite a lot of guys from Leinster: possibly more than Roscrea. Totally messing with your stats ;)

None of Athlone is in Connacht. It is entirely in Westmeath

See. I told you we could have a hair splitting argument.

I am aware that they brought some of the "west bank" of the Shannon into Leinster over 100 years ago, but there are still people who have the address Athlone co Roscommon.

Roscrea Rugby club is also out the "Leinster side" of the town. Most of the townsfolk are Munster and Tipperary supporters though.

True, its splitting hairs over where a place is and where it isn't.

Postal districts and Counties are not the same thing btw

Roscrea have played exclusively in Leinster schools cups for at least 50 years.

Yeah but a lot of the students don't come from the town.

Most Roscrea students would be from Munster, albeit with a sizeable contingent from the midlands (Leinster/Connacht).

Mike Ross is playing again as player/scrum coach for Malahide. Got to feel a tad sorry for whoever comes up against him in the scrums!
