So how does the seeding work again?
Why does everyone think the seeding is confusing?

Because they fixate on the top 6 or the top 7 in league placings rather than the simple formula that mr Molloy quoted. "Top team from each country, then the next 3 by place"

That could be the 1st 5th 9th and 11th (to pick an extreme case) with the 2nd 3rd and 4th making it also.

Top 5 are all that are mathematically guaranteed a spot in the Chumps cup.

I think he was talking about the seedings for the ERCC draw - which are also not confusing once you understand them!!

Sorry you are correct. They are confusing if you are not paying attention. :)

No. They have to finish ahead of the 2nd place in ALL OTHER COUNTRIES. Not ANOTHER country.

The only way you could do that in 7th place would be if ALL 4 COUNTRIES had a team ahead of you.
That's what I meant - finish 7th but ahead of the second team from all of : Wales, Scotland and Italy
I like your right leg. A lovely leg for the role.
I've got nothing against your right leg.

hey guys, great to and fro communication, I'm not saying Socrates would be proud, but reading a thread where nobody has yet been called an idiot is strangely refreshing. Let's keep it up :) :)

That's because Socrates's wife would give out at any idiotic name calling (and unfortunately not bring an idiot - literally - was Socrates's downfall).

Thank you 433 - but it appears you may have put me a pedestal only for me to tumble spectacularly to the ground.
