I reckon Madigan is a sturdier hombre than Sexton.
Good luck to him.
plus not like Madigan will also be starting all of the Lions games let alone Irelands

for himself he had to move

You seriously think Sexton will be in contention come Lions?
Right now he probably wouldn't make the 23...will he be back up the pecking order in 2 years?

What a disaster for Leinster. He has been the best outhalf in Ireland for the past three seasons but was continually dumped on by useless management. It's a professional era and more heads should roll than O'Connor's.

Johnny went straight from Lions to playing in France with next to no break; Madigan won't be doing that

Plus it's unlikely his playing time will be as mismanaged as sextons was in his first season with Racing Underground.

Fair play to Madigan. He's not a 12 and anyway Henshaw will be our 12 next year, and Luke is a better 12. He's not a full back. He's not a scrum half. He's a bloody good 10 who could benefit from running a backline with a coherent attack week in week out.

Hope he's earning a pile of cash too. I mean Gopperth and Teo are on crazy sums. He's worth it.

In other news Ray has passed away from a combined stroke, heart attack and brain aneurysm. If ever there was a one-issue poster with an axe to grind, it was him. RIP.

It was the thoughts of Ray's reaction that kept me awake all last night.

Completely correct decision for Madigan. Can see him thriving over there.

So sorry to see him go, but completely agree with this. Hopefully he'll return.
