You think we'll have Mike Mc?

I hope you're right.

Matches that'll be affected:

29 Jan Dragons (a)
12 Feb Zebre (h)
20 Feb Cardiff (a)
28 Feb Zebre (a)
5 Mar Ospreys (h)
18 Mar Glasgow (a)

The two games against Zebre and match v Glasgow clash with internationals so the team you've got above is likely with a few changes I'd imagine. Would be surprised if Denton doesn't feature, Conan should be fit for some of the later games and is Ed Byrne fit?

For the Cardiff and Ospreys' games I'd expect us to get a few back from the Ireland squad, especially in the front row and half-backs.

Dragons' game could be a problem if we don't have access to any Ireland squad members.

Denton will be around the squad.. hoping Kearney will be available at some stage.

Conan would start at 8 for me if he is back.. not sure when that will be.

Ed Byrne was expected to be back this month afaik.

Would be encouraging to see, he's had awful luck with injuries.

We won't have McCarthy. Toner and Ryan will start for Ireland, and Mike Mac is a Schmidt favourite and is playing a lot better than Dave Foley. Henderson and Tuohy are injured obviously. Can't see Joe selecting Muldowney or Dillane but may be wrong.

Madigan would surely be released to play the odd 3 minutes as required.

Getting Conan and Triggs back would be a big help.
Seemingly Conan will be good for start of Feb. Himself and Te'o will be key guys for us carrying wise like last year.

We won't have Maccer. Furlong and Murphy are outside bets too depending on injuries. Triggs and Conan should be back from injury. But we'll also be missing the internationals for the trip to Galway as well.

Dooley Cronin Furlong
Molony Denton
Ryan Conan VDF

McGrath Marsh
Te'o Ringrose
Nacewa Kirchner McFadden

Tracy, Bent, RBF, Thornbury, Murphy, McCarthy, Byrne, Reid

Guys like the Byrne brothers, Dundon and Kelleher might be in and out as well.

Murphy should be nowhere near the irish team.

I just hope the 'real Jordi Murphy' is his 2012-2014 manifestation

I did say outside bet in fairness. Joe rates him and he's done fairly well for Ireland so far. And with POM injured and now Heaslip having shipped a knock it helps his chances.

I think seeing Jordi picked for Ireland makes Munster fans feel how we did when Deccie picked Mick O'Driscoll or Eddie picked one of his useless Munster wingers John Kelly or Anthony Horgan.

John Kelly was a good player.

Murphy had an enormous game against England in the 6N last year, he's out of form at the moment but I'd have him in a higher bracket than Anthony Horgan tbh.

As wixfjord said Jordi had an absolutely immense game against England in the 6Ns last year. He got through an absolute mountain of work that day. He's also a young guy who will almost certainly get better. It's not like he has been getting picked ahead of anyone more deserving up to now either.
