Here is an interesting one.

Connacht beat Glasgow 30 23 (For example) with 3 tries to Glasgow's 4. Leinster score 4 tries (and win) v Treviso.

All 3 teams are on 73 points.

Leinster top (16 wins) Connacht 2nd (15 wins) and Glasgow 3rd (14 wins)

Basically any Connacht win puts Glasgow 3rd (Presuming we beat Treviso) and any Glasgow win puts us 2nd.

The only Connacht win that can put us 2nd is a BP win. (presuming we score 4 tries)

A draw in the sportsground gives a Leinster, Glasgow, Connacht order (again presuming we get the BP)

Unless..... Glasgow score 4 tries and draw which puts them top.

Everyone clear? :)

Therefore... (again presuming a 4 try win v Treviso)

A Glasgow win ( or BP draw) gives us Connacht in the RDS.

A Connacht win (or a draw with no Glasgow BP) gives us Ulster or possibly Scarlets in the RDS.

A Connacht BP win gives us Glasgow in the RDS.

And while I'm at it....

An Ulster win gives us 3 Irish in the playoffs.

A Munster win Gives us 4 Irish in Europe 1.

So here's to a provincial clean sweep.

If Munster lose, are we more likely to get Scarlets than Ulster?

Scarlets are a point behind Ulster. So if they both win or lose then Ulster go 4th. (depending on BPs)

If Scarlets and Ospreys win then it could be a nightmare scenario. Scarlets 4th and (depending on Munster BPs) Ospreys 6th.

Scarlets have more wins. So if they end up on the same points then Scarlets take 4th.

Alles klar, John. We're rooting for a Connacht bonus point win, so that we get Glasgow at home in the semi instead of in Edinburgh in the final, if we get manage to get that far!!

Christ - Dave can you make sure you bring your calculator to the terrace on Saturday
I like your right leg. A lovely leg for the role.
I've got nothing against your right leg.
The trouble is ... neither have you

I'd rather play Ulster to have a better chance of GETTING to the final.

Either way without a massive kick in the whole we won't make Embra.

No point in asking me - when I have maths to do I call Mauler, I am singularly untalented in the field of maths!

I have Johng on whatsapp too

Will an Ulster bp win alone give all of the above?

It will prevent the O's catching Munster and keep Ulster ahead of Scarlet's regardless of what happens in Thomond Park. - I think, maybe, kind of....

Us on the other hand, on our current form we are playing to find out who we lose to in the play off's.

Yes. But the Os are coming off a big win in the MillStad.

A/ Hard to see Ulster doing that to them with their away form.

and

B/ If they did they would probably kill us in the RDS

Troubled waters for Munster so. Scarlets fighting for a playoff and O's fighting for Champs Cup.
