nope there was a clutch of guys on two Conan, DK, Zane, Leavy, Jordi, McFadden, Reid, Sexton, Strauss

may as well have included that now!

the list of guys on zero is pretty interesting too Healy, Heaslip, Luke, Madigan, Ruddock, SOB
so technically our first choice backrow havent scored all season

I dont think it does that much when you look at who has played the most and where they are in this chart

what i think is more telling is Nacewa aside the youthful nature of the list, even when you go down to the people on 2

Now I look even more at the Munster list, which got me started, Sherry is at the top which shows how good their maul has been all season. Ours has only come good last 5 or 6 weeks

Look how much gametime Teo, Kirchner & McFadden have and the utter lack of tries they've scored.

Of course a players value is not not all down to tries scored but it sure helps.

I don't think Munster are the benchmark. Being better than a team who got eliminated in the pool stages of the champions cup, didn't make the Pro-12 playoffs and just effectively sacked their coach is not really the way to look at things in my opinion. Ben Teo and Zane Kirchner only scored one try each. And it's not like Teo is the master creative force in midfield either to be honest!

Think we all know that there's a problem with our backline - scoring less tries than any other team in the Champions Cup showed that. There are big questions to be asked of the coaching in this area and of the personnel - think any team that aspires to be at the top of the pile would ask that question of themselves.

There are positives there - Isa's return is phenomenal and its great to see a scrum half scoring (though I suspect defensive coaches will make it harder for him next year....) but overall our attack is something that clearly needs to be addressed.

Where could this point possibly be going?

@Flash I would argue Munster have the best maul in the league by some distance so in that regard they are a benchmark, not like Sherry was running in tries from 20m

I think our attack in general has been stodgy not just our backs

Agree with you on that point SOK! We've definitely missed the holes that ball carriers like Healy and O'Brien aren't punching!
