The fight for back up loosehead.
James Tracy
Mick Kearney, Molony, and James Ryan fighting for selection.
Conan making a big impact after what was pretty much a write off of a season.
Luke McGrath kicking on and getting capped and the competition he'll have with Gibson-Parke.
Carberry and/or Ross Byrne emerging (although back up ten does worry me).
Steve Crosbie being resigned to cover injuries and then becoming first choice and being capped/touring with the Lions.
Adam Byrne and /or Dardis emerging.
Rob Kearney being fit and back to his best.

The performances against Bath at home and the Ospreys away becoming the norm.

Hopefully, some try-scoring rugby being played.

The scrum being used to give the backs good ball, instead of using it to try to milk penalties like some loser English team

Ed Byrne and Tom Daly getting gametime

Some backline moves off attacking lineouts in/near opposition 22 rather than trying to maul it all the time.

slight tangent but wonder will age profile of our right wingers and Aki push Ringrose on to wing for Ireland in a years time?

I was thinking that too, wouldn't be surprised if he makes his debut on the wing. If we have Zebo on the wing then Ringrose would be a pretty good option at 23. Probably not against NZ but perhaps one of the other games in the autumn.

at worst its handy for a RWC squad, did JDV no harm

tangent to a tangent but how Ulster's backs line up will be interesting too (and feed into this)

No I'm just blindly hoping we will be signing some decent coach.

Looking inventive and making yards after 3 phases.
Outhalf standing in the same timezone as the scrum half.

For wishes, Sale in the European Cup, Juandre Kruger pulled out of his move there and theyve gotten Lou Reed, not the good one, instead

The emergence of Adam Byrne as our greatest ever winger. More "hoping" than "looking forward to" though.
jezzer wrote:He will never be the second coming of BOD, because the only thing their game shares is probably the appetite for work around the pitch. He'll hopefully be the first coming of Ringrose.
