Assume McCarthy and Marsh at half-back, possibly Daly and O'Loughlin in the centre with Byrne and Keenan on the wings.

Upfront, possibly Porter, Byrne and Bent with Triggs and AN Other makes for a very strong pack.
Some back row that ! Heard that SOB was playing earlier today. Richmond are a full amateur team and pointless in the championship, going to rest some of their players I presume, this could be ugly for them.

Surely, instead of playing Bent, it would be better to use the game to aid Loughman's or Heffernan's development?

Sean O'Hagan a former Ulster academy player plays for Richmond. He was highly mooted once but it just didn't seem to happen for him. I wonder will he be playing?

I saw him play a few times for Ireland Clubs and U19 v France and thought he was a player with lots of potential, but obviously he never showed it in Ulster for the few years he was there. I would be worried if I was any Richmond player facing that pack, SOB, Triggs, Conan, James Ryan ! Think it will be a huge score for us.

Thanks GG, not that up to speed, quick churn out by the Ulster boys if only one season. Am I correct that he would have been on the same Clubs team as Adam Byrne and Dooley, Jack O'Donoghue from Munster was the captain ?

For me that team is good enough to win the competition, can't be a better squad out there, They destroyed a good Ulster team last week. Richmond are a newly promoted side to the championship and the weakest team in the competition (against the strongest). It will be very one sided.

Ah balls. Daly didn't look comfortable at times last week. Seemed to be carrying an injury of some kind. But he was a class above the other centres in the game I thought.

Good to hear, he'd want to be at this stage. Hopefully he gets his debut soon.

Didn't Leo name check him in the last week or so? I do think if he can get back to fitness we could see a bit of him this season. I hope we do because I liked what I saw on Saturday. He's a big enough bloke, but also has great distribution.

Missing from both teams: M. Bent, A Porter, Ed Byrne, R Strauss, M Kearney, M McCarthy, D Ryan, Jordi Murphy, Josh Murphy, R O'Loughlin, D Kearney.

Are they all injured? If so, what is the time-line of return for each or has one been issued.

Quite. The correct decision is to keep the seconds match fit.
