of course it's sad that irish rugby is purposely recruiting foreign players with no irish ties because they can play for the national team in 3 years.Ruckedtobits wrote:And, AFAIAC, nothing sad about that on the basis of his performance against Zebre on top of his most recent NZ season.johng wrote:JGP was signed (or rather permitted by the IRFU to be signed) precisely because he can play for Ireland at the end of his 3 year contract.

Do we have to have this debate for the 3000000000001st time?

Ireland are definitely light on quality scrum halves so the Whiskey man JGP might be very be a very desirable quantity in 3 years time. Just looking at Ulster's sc situation post Pienar is scary. Marshall's "decision" against Bordeaux recently is typical of his performances all career. Next in line is the very brave but very small Dave Shanahan and then Lloyd the recent Trinity acquisition. Ulster should really go after James Hart even if they have to buy him out from Racing. Otherwise he could easily end up playing for France the way Noves is throwing around new caps.

James Hart wants to play for France, not Ireland. Ulster's best bet might be John Cooney, third choice at Connacht but probably better than Marshall.rdsblue wrote:Ireland are definitely light on quality scrum halves so the Whiskey man JGP might be very be a very desirable quantity in 3 years time. The USA and Japan tour should be a chance to have a look at another 9. Murray will almost certainly be with the Lions, so if it's judged necessary to have three scrumhalves on tour there'll be an opening behind Marmion and McGrath (unless of course they only take two 9s and ask Carbery to be 9 cover). Caolin Blade looks best placed atm.rdsblue wrote:Ireland are definitely light on quality scrum halves so the Whiskey man JGP might be very be a very desirable quantity in 3 years time. Blade is ahead of Cooney at the moment but Cooney is injured so will be interesting so see which one is in front/behind Marmion at the end of the season.

More a comb matrix than comb over. I suspect some form of temporary scaffolding is required in the preparation of said quiff.fourthirtythree wrote:No barrier to success these days.simonokeeffe wrote:hes rocking a bit of a comboverOldschoolsocks wrote:Mick O'Driscoll was gifted 45 caps after the age of 46, why not young Dunc
