Plus John some of these guys with their low CoG, huge thighs and leg-drive and natural power, they just don't conform to the "the bigger they are..." truism. To get guys like that around the ankles and take him down, it's a low % chance play. If you don't stick it, you've already let him past and he's in under the posts. That's why I say that this law change won't see wrapup tackles going out of fashion. They keep the ball in front of the defensive line.

Stringer's tackle on Lomu springs to mind
For every one of those, Lomu broke 10 low tackles. It's a low % play against these freaks.

In fairness Lomu broke a whole load of all types of tackle.

How many tackler concussions so far by going low?
