The Os are playing Stade in the Mill Stad on Sunday the 2nd of April. Giving us an extra day to recover from Wasps before playing them.

But now stade are on strike and the Os could well have a rest week while we get a physical battle v wasps

AWJ is very similar to POC in terms of character and I hope he recovers to make Lions tour. Ospreys will miss him in Pro 12.

With 5 rounds to go in Pro 12 the Ospreys game is pivotal if we are to get a home top 2 place.
I think Munster (63pts) will get 5 Zebre a, 4 Glasgow h, 4 Ulster h, 5 Treviso a, 5 Connacht h which would give them 86pts. They have easier run in & unless we beat Ospreys 86 pts would be hard to beat.
Ospreys (64pts) have Treviso a, Leinster h, Cardiff a, Ulster h, Scarlets a.
We are on 66pts & need something like 5 Cardiff h, 4 Ospreys a, 4 Connacht a, 4 Glasgow h, 4 Ulster a = 87pts & if we got 1st would probably be home in SF to
Scarlets (53pts) who play Edinburgh h, Treviso h, Dragons a, Connacht a, Ospreys h.
Ulster (57pts) are outsiders with Dragons a, Cardiff h, Munster a, Ospreys a, Leinster h.

Maybe its the way Ireland play v Wales but his tackle counts are way higher v us.

Glasgow and Connacht will be very difficult games for Munster as neither opposition pack will be bullied.

Cardiff, Us and Scarlets will be difficult games for Ospreys without AWJ.

If we get 85 points we will be top 2 and possibly 1st. Happy with that but would like first. Integration will be the key, even for Sat next and Leo and Coaches have delicate decisions to make. Exit from B&I compounds matters re keeping players sharp.

B&I knockouts are a double edged sword. You lose an opportunity to get gametime for squad players BUT. You don't have your squad stretched trying to fulfill both sets of fixtures on Euro weekends. Plus the risk of injury attached.

There is the AIL for keeping players sharp if needed.

However we do have a very deep and fit squad for the time of year. :touching wood emoticon:

If there's a need for an A team fixture to keep the squad sharp, there's always the option of arranging a game against whichever championship side should have been playing London Welsh. I imagine they'd rather some gate receipts rather than none.

Wow. That puts a very different complexion our game against them. If we win that and one more of our remaining games I think we're guaranteed a home SF.

So if we win in Swansea, we'd only need a win and a couple of bonus points from the Glasgow, Connacht and Ulster games. It really does make us favourites now for a home SF.
