Given how he is performing for scarlets this season, I think it's interesting how Leinster seemed to miss him while he was on our books. Any ideas?
I know he suffered badly from injury in the academy but he didnt look out of place starting in Europe today against Saracens.

I think it shows that the coaches mustn't be afraid to give a guy a shot. He hardly got any game-time here

Re: Tadhg Beirne
In his interview with the 42 he said how he was out for 14 months with injuries and then when Leinster decided to give him another shot last season he did his shoulder in and was effectively playing with one shoulder. Easy enough to see how Leinster missed him. Either way he could be one of those players who needs to leave to really find themselves, ala Tommy Bowe or Eoin Reddan. Hopefully we'll get him back after another year or 2!

With our lack of progress in getting our young locks through, we might well need him. Heartening to see a 'reject' doing so well.

Was never considered big enough for First Team second-row within the Academy and his injury record prevented him getting enough game time to disprove this opinion.
Always reckoned to be a top quality forward and his abilities were never in question. Really delighted to see him perform with such excellence.
