They did a study 2 years ago on why there was a spate of muscle injuries and what they found was changing between surfaces was causing it
The Scottish team could be in difficulty then or did he mean surfaces the were uneven and thus changing?

Interestingly Glasgow went through a spell of everyone had a knee injury, past year/ 18 months seems to be tons of shoulder problems. No particular issues with muscular injuries though that I can think of.

You see it all the time in schools rugby, kids are dropping like flies from 50 minutes on - mostly with cramp. Thought it was a hydration issue but watched a game at the weekend with two doctors and they reckoned it was the playing surface.

Maybe Glasgow training on 4g surface too so its not too bad, you do seem to have a Connacht level of injuries though

An expert is one who is knowledgable about current conventional wisdom.
It's a fair bet that there were quite a few experts who said the world was flat once upon a time.
Point being conventional wisdom should always be questioned.

The actual definition of an expert is:
a person who is very knowledgeable about or skilful in a particular area.
As jobbobjoe said questioning someone who is knowledgeable is fine. Not caring what someone who is knowledgeable says and just dismissing it out of hand is something else entirely.

We don't just do that though. Training is split between plastic and normal pitch.

We've got that many long term injuries it'll be like having new signings when we see them next!

Sooner Edinburgh have some decent players the better! Share the international load a bit.

I'll take that bet. It is unfair however as I happen to know from the history of science that this was never the case from ancient times to the present. If you are suggesting that this was the case before any recorded culture you are not holding this opinion from a point of expertise but rather pulling this "fact" out of your own arse.

Its more what you find on Sauciehall St at 3am I'm worried about Kerm

chatting to my own physio today and she said in her experience of working for rugby teams players rushing themselves back is the no1 cause of bad hamstring injuries and tearing an existing/healing tear massively exasberates it and makes it even harder to come back, but also players cooling down slightly mid game or session then doing an explosive movement or sprint is another killer

RK sorry for repetition but am convinced his hamstring issues are stemming from a back problem

would love to see similar for other clubs/provinces
We are dodgy knee specialists up here in Ulster, we even go so far as to hire players with a dodgy knee background.
