Re: Leinster Senior Squad 2017/2018
Yep John F is doing a fine job. How many scrums have we lost this season on our own put in?
You know I'm going to lose,
And gambling's for fools,
But that's the way I like it baby, I don't want to live FOREVER!

More jobs needed for the boys - e.g. Mike Ross.

It's like an obsession- you asked so I feel I have to answer!!!blockhead wrote:Yep John F is doing a fine job. How many scrums have we lost this season on our own put in?
The answer is 2 (one away to Munster and the second at home to Zebre).
We're 121/123 in the league and 35/35 in Europe

Apparently not true according to his brother.wixfjord wrote:Not sure what thread to stick this in, but anyone hear that James Ryan was with the senior team and kitted out at the England game?
Would be some vote of confidence in him if true!

Joey Carbery was involved though. There was a glimpse of him in the brief IRFU video synopsis of the match plus preps.goreyguy wrote:Apparently not true according to his brother.wixfjord wrote:Not sure what thread to stick this in, but anyone hear that James Ryan was with the senior team and kitted out at the England game?

Yeah big difference between Carbery and Ryan.riocard911 wrote:Joey Carbery was involved though. Is that just the ball being lost against the head or does that include penalties on our own put in?! Insanely impressive stats anyway.Xanthippe wrote:It's like an obsession- you asked so I feel I have to answer!!!blockhead wrote:Yep John F is doing a fine job. We need more jobs for the boyz if this is the results we're getting

It would be madness to let Ross leave and all his knowledge with him.arsebiscuits1 wrote:Is that just the ball being lost against the head or does that include penalties on our own put in?! I like to get to the matches early because the nerd part of me like to watch warm ups and preps etc.riocard911 wrote:Joey Carbery was involved though. Joey was strapped up and taking a full part in warm up.
There was no sign of James Ryan. But I wasn't looking out for him.
I also saw Jamie had heavy ankle strapping as he did his odd pre-match barefoot walk on the pitch.

Agree 100%. There are jobs there. I can see him taking on an Schools/ Underage/ Academy scrum coach role next season with Leinster.goreyguy wrote:

He's worked under Greg Feek for 7 years now. Would be good to see that relationship continue

Academy scrum coach, it makes too much sense for it not to happen..arsebiscuits1 wrote:Agree 100%. There are jobs there. I can see him taking on an Schools/ Underage/ Academy scrum coach role next season with Leinster.goreyguy wrote:

Would still be around pro setup and would be working with upcoming academy props and underage props..
and there are quite a few coming through.

Totally agree. There is a chronic shortage over all the island for good scrum coaches, letting Mike Ross go somewhere else would be ludicrousAcademy scrum coach, it makes too much sense for it not to happen..

The one v Munster they definitely won it against the head - can't remember what happened with the one v Zebre (sorry)arsebiscuits1 wrote:Is that just the ball being lost against the head or does that include penalties on our own put in?! Thank goodness it's not just me - always like to be in my seat an hour before kick off.arsebiscuits1 wrote: I like to get to the matches early because the nerd part of me like to watch warm ups and preps etc.

Oh and Jamie's strapping - that's not actually unusual for him. Every time you see him do his barefoot walk he's quite heavily strapped. Always thought it was funny that he walks around in wet grass with his strapping akreadybin place.

Re: Leinster Senior Squad 2017/2018
Rossy be up for a Player/Scrum coach season? He can still do a job even though he was born in the 70s
Re: Leinster Senior Squad 2017/2018
he is already scrum mentor anyway..johng wrote:Rossy be up for a Player/Scrum coach season? He can still do a job even though he was born in the 70s
Re: Leinster Senior Squad 2017/2018
I meant would he play on for another year rather than just coach.
Re: Leinster Senior Squad 2017/2018
I was under the impression he would be playing again next year, how much who knows..johng wrote:I meant would he play on for another year rather than just coach.
