I'd still start Dooley.

Have Leavy/McGrath for sure too.

Dooley isn't going to make the match day squad against Wasps though while Healy is a contender to start in the Aviva. I think he's in better form than McGrath at the moment - though it must be said to balance that out that Healy is looking better off the bench after McGrath has put in the hard shift.

Dooley's form deserves to be rewarded with another start.

His form is excellent but we're preparing for a European quarter final and that trumps everything.

For me Healy is as close to McGrath as he has been for a while. I think McGrath will start against Wasps as his scrummaging is probably better, but by the end of the year I wouldn't be surprised to see Ciano back in our 1 jersey.

Not denying Healy is rounding into better form and is close to McGrath who has dropped off a bit, but Dooley has been excellent and i'd persist with him as starter this week as Healy gets back upto speed in the Leinster environment.

Ain't it great to have so many fit and in form players so we can have these disagreements?

It's not an extra 20 minutes gametime vs Cardiff Dooley needs (he'll get 30 mins anyway), it's few top level games against good opposition scrums.

I reckon Strauss ahead of Treacy right now, and I'd say we'll have both Ruddock and VDF on the bench for Wasps. Seems about right otherwise though.

apologies for the tangent but Strauss is out of contract this summer so were he to get a clear indication hes 3rd choice he might get lowballed and/or reluctantly decide hes off

They also don't have to "worry" about a Euro quarter final, so I imagine they will get different treatment to us.

Strauss has looked back to a good level. Struggled a bit over the past couple of seasons, both for form and with injury/concussion issues - presumably related.
He's been such a dedicated player for us and given his all since arriving in 2009; I hope he is not simply left to have his contract run out or offered such a bad deal he has no choice but to leave!

That's it exactly. McGrath seems to have gone (very slightly) off the boil. Healy still not the behemoth/ force of nature of 2011- 2015, but very effective off the bench. Dooley is coming hard though; next season will be very interesting on the loose head.
