Likely Wasps squad for Saturday:

Beale, Wade, Daly, Gopperth, Le Roux*, Cipriani, Robson, Mullan, Taylor, Cooper-Wooley, Launchbury, Myall, Young, Haskell, Hughes.

Bench: Johnson, McIntyre, Moore, Symons, Simpson, Leiua, Bassett.

*If WLR fails the fitness test, Bassett comes in at 11 and Armitage on the bench.

If both sides are as sloppy in defence as they were yesterday, this could be a very high scoring game. We may not mind that, as we usually manage to outscore the opposition in such contests. But as some of your posters have suggested, you could make a case for either side winning, and it will all come down to fine margins on the day and who gets most things right. I'll be watching in a London pub (landlord is an ex-Wasp), and hoping that our slightly stronger bench will make the difference in the final quarter.

Ah cr@p. I didn't see that from where I was sitting. That doesn't sound good with his head injury history. Such a shame.

IS Haskell fully fit? IIRC he just came back from injury during the 6N and he seemed to have a slight limp coming off against Ireland.
Ruddock's tackle stats consistently too low for me to be taken seriously as a Six Nations blindside..... Ruddock's defensive stats don't stack up. - All Blacks Nil, Jan 15th, 2014
England A 8 - 14 Ireland A, 25th Jan 2014

Over 46,500 tickets sold so far. Could be close to a sell-out.

No mention of Strauss in the injury report from today's press conference. Looks like Cronin will be fit anyway. No other injuries reported from the weekend.

Conan, Kirchner and Dave Kearney will be further monitored in training this week.

He played yesterday against Worcester, so should be ok.

Here's a copy of the injury update: https://twitter.com/SeanFarrell_42/stat ... 32/photo/1

Looks like we need to plan without Conan, on top of Heaslip.
Does Rhys keep the jersey, following his performance on Saturday?
Only other option is Seanie but I can't remember when he last played there (even if I always liked him at 8 ).

Jaysus that's a fairly pessimistic way of reading it!
'felt tightness in his calf and wasn't involved in the game, will be assessed further as the week progresses'.
Could mean anything.

Meanwhile Leinster website says:
"Lancaster confirmed that both Jack Conan and Zane Kirchner were ruled out of contention for the Cardiff game with minor muscle injuries – Conan a tight calf, Kirchner a tight hamstring – but that both were expected to train this week and would be assessed further as the week progresses."

If everybody was calm and optimistic, there wouldn't be much point now.

Alternatively, all I said is that we need to plan for being without Conan - we can always hope for the best but, if he doesn't make it, it will be interesting to see what that plan is.

Well he's out on the Paddock, togged out, looks to be running around with the ball in his had, so finger crossed!

Odd that he didn't play then, you'd have thought he'd need game time.

Ruddock was great on Saturday so I'd definitely pick him if Conan is injured (although doubt he will be). He left one ball behind him at a scrum but looked like a real 8 apart from that.

Interesting week ahead at leinster HQ with all these players being re-integrated back and do little time to do it
Few massive calls aswel that I'm sure the coaches will be sweating over...mainly in the front ros( starters and subs) and back row/back 3!!!!

I reckon we'll see something like
1 Jack Mc with church adding impact
2 Strauss
3 Furlong
4 Trigger
5 Big Dev
6 SOB
7 Leavy ( JVDF just been too quiet of late and Leavy going so well
8 Conan
9 McGrath (personally I'd have JGP)
10 Sexton
11 Adam Bryrne
12 Robbie H
13 Gary Ringrose
14 FMcF
15 Isa

16 Tracy ( id prefer Cronin but he's had no gametime, bizarre as he was fit last weekend)
17 Church
18 Bent
19 Rhys (seems to be a beast at scrum time and his carrying needed)
20 JVDF
21 JGP
22 Joey Carberry
23 Noel Reid ( Just pips ROL for me and his versatility)

Wouldn't be at all surprised to see Ferg and DK on the wings. Adam Byrne picked a bad game to have a defensive shocker and he won't have Ross kicking to him.
