Heard similar - but whatever about Dooley replacing Church on the bench, we have amazing depth in the back row especially when you consider Heaslip and Murphy are also out.bluemagic wrote:Heard rumours that SOB is injured and won't be playing Sunday. However much depth we have there, with doubts over Conan as well we can't afford to lose our 1st, 2nd and 3rd choice number 8'sLar wrote:Heard similar - but whatever about Dooley replacing Church on the bench, we have amazing depth in the back row especially when you consider Heaslip and Murphy are also out.bluemagic wrote:Heard rumours that SOB is injured and won't be playing Sunday. Re: EPCR SEMI-FINAL V CLERMONT
I fear if we lose both Conan and SOB at this late stage that might be fatal. T'would be Leavy, Ruddock and VDF I presume. Who's the next man in? Dom Ryan me thinks?erskinechilders wrote:However much depth we have there, with doubts over Conan as well we can't afford to lose our 1st, 2nd and 3rd choice number 8'sLar wrote:Heard similar - but whatever about Dooley replacing Church on the bench, we have amazing depth in the back row especially when you consider Heaslip and Murphy are also out.bluemagic wrote:Heard rumours that SOB is injured and won't be playing Sunday. Fingers crossed even one of SOB or Conan pull through!
Re: EPCR SEMI-FINAL V CLERMONT
I thought Conan was fit to play. Did I not read somewhere last week that he could have been selected for the Connacht game but was rested?

Re: EPCR SEMI-FINAL V CLERMONT
Well I didn't hear that bit it was Definately reported at the injury assessments on Monday that he had taken a bang (to the neck I think) and they were going to monitor him as the week went on (never a goings sign with Leinster that).Lar wrote:I thought Conan was fit to play. Having said all that, I like yours better. Lets hope it's that

They made the plea before seeing the video footage?FLIP wrote:If such angles are so clearcut why did Leinster and Healy plead not guilty?molloyjh wrote:If they aren't appealing then there were obviously other angles that made it fairly clear cut.curates_egg wrote:Just heard they won't appeal. A shame for Healy but Dooley is a great replacement. I thought he had leapfrogged Healy last season but Church has been back on form this season.
Re: EPCR SEMI-FINAL V CLERMONT
And they wouldn't have access to the same footage before they decided the plea? If not someone at Leinster isn't doing their job.molloyjh wrote:They made the plea before seeing the video footage?FLIP wrote:If such angles are so clearcut why did Leinster and Healy plead not guilty?molloyjh wrote:

This is the nub of it, if any additional angles existed they should have been shared with any defence, there's nothing in the clip I saw to warrant a red card so either it's a different incident a stitch up or a failure to disclose. None of which reflect well upon this citing.

A back row to VDF, Leavy and Ruddock if it comes to it, will more than hold their own, I'd have no problem seeing that if others are unavailable.

Re: EPCR SEMI-FINAL V CLERMONT
His only chance of being available for selection on Saturday was to plead not guilty - what was actually in the b-roll is pretty much irrelevant either way

Much and all as I dislike the filthy rag, this piece in the Indo today suggests Conan is chomping at the bit to start in Lyon (or someone somewhere is probably going to pay)

Leavy, Ruddock, Conan, with VDF on the bench is the rumour around.
We all have a lot of faith in these players but it is a big challenge for such a young unit.

Other rumour is that McFadden gets the nod on the wing.
A very young matchday squad. Xanthippe will probably have the stats but it has to be our mean average youngest squad for a Euro knock-out game ever?

The younger players in the squad have contributed massively to getting us this far. Time to place our faith in them to deliver this weekend

Have huge respect for Ruddock but this is one game we will need athleticism and all the other qualities JVDF brings. Rhys can do a big job from the bench.curates_egg wrote:Leavy, Ruddock, Conan, with VDF on the bench is the rumour around.
