The funny thing is that in my memory of Hickies try, Darce gave the ball back to him too early and the score would have been easier if he made the defender commit.

Mine too, although looking at the gifs on Darce's article it's hard to tell. There's another player coming across to cover Darce and he points for Clerc to turn back around and take Hickie, so maybe the pass was perfectly timed.
