I read today that we'd asked for 3k and Clermont have asked for 22k. Will capacity be increased?

Despite it being a 2-3 hour drive from Clermont. Lyon is half that distance and the stadium only takes 25,000. Going to be very hard to get tickets for this one.
Thought the stadium has a capacity of 40k.

It certainly did when it hosted matches at RWC 2007

It can seat up to 40,000 but has permanent seating for 25,000 when LOU play there, as far as I understand it.

LOU is the rugby club (OL is the football). They now play in Stade Gerland, where our game will be.
It has a capacity of 40,000...but I thought I read somewhere that LOU games have a capacity of 25,000, so I figured there must be a temporary stand?

OL play in the Olympic Stadium, which is massive.

English Wikipedia page 25,000 - https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Stade_de_Gerland
French Wikipedia page 41,842 - https://fr.wikipedia.org/wiki/Stade_de_Gerland

:?: :?: :?: :?: :?:

If you look at the attendances on the English wiki page for the world cup etc they're 39,100... So must be able to expand

Think I saw somewhere that when Lyons (rugby) play there they don't open the ends and it is 25k seated. But it can take 42k fully open.
I like your right leg. A lovely leg for the role.
I've got nothing against your right leg.

Confirmation here in the local Lyon rag of

(a) 16.15 kick-off (boo)

(b) the capacity uncertainty - could be up to 42,000 but also could only be 32,000. (as posted above, the LOU standard capacity is 25,000).

I notice that the top price tickets for this European cup semi final are cheaper than the top price tickets for Leinster vs Cardiff in the Pro12 (and the other home games I have been to this season).

Posters here keep jumping in to try and defend Leinster's pricing for our home games, so I expect them to do so again.
But you really are defending the indefensible.
You can't complain about low gates and ignore the exorbitant prices being charged for tickets to bog standard games.

I agree but perhaps this is for another thread in relation to ticket pricing generally.

Happy pills. I wish they'd share them.

Could someone delete Toulon from the thread title by the way?

€48 for what looks like a good seat is great value for this match. I also noticed I wasn't charged any extras per ticket or any handling fee either.

Anyone know why the Leinster allocation only goes on general sale on Monday?
Clermont have already launched their general sale (ST holders could purchase exclusively from Wednesday).
Seems a bit silly of Leinster. Non-ST holders who will definitely go (like me and my mates who live on the continent) are essentially forced to buy through Clermont's allocation to be sure, to be sure.

ST holders have priority and have till Saturday to buy. Assume they could have had a tighter deadline but there have been complaints before if they have a very tight turnaround.

But keep buying the Clermont allocation :D

Could any season ticket holder who isn't planning to go and who got sent the email with the link possibly forward it on to me to use? Pls just PM me if so.

I've spoken with LR and they're happy for that to happen if the tickets are going to a good home. I'm living abroad now so no longer a ST holder and haven't gotten around to the overseas membership thing.

Anyone else looking to get in ahead of the general release I'm sure can do the same.

Haven't put this in the ticket section because ST holders not planning to go are unlikely to be in there!

Thanks!
