I assumed it was more of a long-term project, but his performance in the scrum against Ulster was extremely positive. And his selection for the Summer Tour seems to indicate that Schmidt and Feek think he has enormous potential (as well as being at a high enough level already to tour). It's good for Leinster because it suggests that Furlong, Bent and Porter will be enough quality and strength-in-depth next season
I wonder how much he'll actually play? Japan have a pretty good scrum

The way he forced himself over the line at the death to get us a losing try bonus point in Scarletania was massively impressive, IMO!!!
