Is the Scarlets line out anything to write home about? Assuming not then I'd be happy to see Rhys covering lock and have 2 back rows on the bench. Although Molony might get a look in as the possible extra lock on the Irish tour (assuming Dillane is the one the coaches are waiting on).

McGrath Tracy Furlong
Toner Triggs
Ruddock Conan SOB

McGrath Sexton
Henshaw Ringrose
Nacewa Carbery Byrne

Strauss, Healy, Bent, Leavy, VDF, JGP, Reid, ROL

No matter what way we cut it we'll be leaving out some deserving players from the 23 completely. Molony and Ross Byrne the obvious examples above. Even Ferg, much maligned as he has been.

I wouldn't be surprised to see both Cronin and SOB out, with Henshaw back in. Tracy to start at hooker, Strauss to bench, Leavy 7, Ruddock 6, with VDF on the bench in that scenario.
That will NOT be the backrow on Friday, I am reliably informed  . SOB is expected to be fit for selection.
So potentially Josh out of the matchday squad altogether? That'd be a very very harsh call!
no. Josh will not be out of the squad.

6. SOB, 7. Leavy, 8. Ruddock is what I'd like to see. Think it might well be too but with 6 and 7 switched

I think that's what we'll get. Ruddock has come into incredible form, Leavy has been a machine lately, and Conan has dipped very slightly. It's very harsh but VDF will probably miss out on the squad altogether, unless they sacrifice Ross Molony on the bench to accommodate both Conan and VDF, as they did before when giving Ruddock the 19 jersey.

Thought Josh was one of the few who performed well at the Kingspan. While others were lacking intensity he was busting a gut and counter rucking hard. I know Leavy won turnovers when he came on but just saying that Josh shone amongst the dross IMO.

That's true, but I still think they'll pick Leavy ahead of him.

Might there be a H in one of the back rows surnames?

If we're going with Rhys/SOB/Conan that's a fair heavyweight backrow. Might be trying to bully them up front a bit.

no.....ok sorry to be annoying.............It will be Rhys/Conan & Josh with SOB on the bench assuming he is fit. Not sure if there is room for Leavy too. Probably not which is really harsh on him as he has been going so well.

Don't think so. The split on bench is first factor. Then work from there.
