Exciting to see Baird and Milne in that group, wonder what persuaded Milne to plump for us? Hopefully himself and Aungier really push each other.

Our A team looks like it'll very young.

1. Luke McGrath [25 years old; 55 starts +40 sub appearances/26 tries]
2. Jamison Gibson-Park [26 y.o.; 21+30/9]
3. Nick McCarthy [23 y.o.; 4+24/3]
4. Hugh O'Sullivan [20 y.o.; 0+0/0] [Academy Year 2]
5. Pat Patterson - don't know much about him, ex-Blackrock College scrum-half [Academy 1]

I don't think Rock will get picked up by another team.

Not sure how many professional outfits will take a punt on him.

He's 23, 5'6" and 75kgs.
He's gotten awfully fond of that brick

Surprised Jordan Duggan didn't get into academy. Played under 20s for two years and thought he deserved a chance. Bit disappointing that no one from clubs stream made it this year - having some club players helps build connections around the province.

Is Milne a loosehead or a tighthead?

Fitzpatrick being cut after being here for four years without ever getting a game? That's not a great look, is it? I wonder whether he'd be more ready to deliver than Jack Kelly after some big stage exposure and all his gametime with the 7s. I dunno, maybe he wants to focus on the 7s

I know the scrum struggled but thought Duggan was excellent around the pitch. Great workrate despite playing so many minutes throughout the JWC. If he doesn't make it here I'd still say he's good enough to make it elsewhere, and if he can't scrummage then maybe he'd make a good hooker.

He could always be picked up later like Abdaladze was

Always feel for those guys who never get a shot – he joins Billy Dardis [Irish 7s captain] and Tom Farrell [Connacht Supporters' Player of the Year], who both did a full stint in the Academy without getting into a Pro12 or European Cup matchday squad.

Patterson left school the same year as O'Sullivan. O'Sullivan went straight to academy, while Patterson did a year in sub academy before getting the promotion.
Never argue with an idiot. Someone looking on may not be able tell the difference

I thought that Hawkshaw kid was a shoo-in. Can anyone shed any light on him kissing out?

SOme one on planet rugby saying he's sub academy, has struggled with injuries.
Ruddock's tackle stats consistently too low for me to be taken seriously as a Six Nations blindside..... Ruddock's defensive stats don't stack up. - All Blacks Nil, Jan 15th, 2014
