I wonder will Lam come calling for a few of them now.
Ruddock's tackle stats consistently too low for me to be taken seriously as a Six Nations blindside..... Ruddock's defensive stats don't stack up. - All Blacks Nil, Jan 15th, 2014

Seeing as this is the last ever B&I Cup, I'd like to see us make a good push to win it and regain the most titles in the competition history, Munster having caught up last season.

Lam will have to adhere to EQP rules like the rest of them, so unless we have a few with English grannies....

Spoke to a few 'Alics' from West Country who went along to this game as neutrals and were blown away by quality of Leinster performance.

Barring Mads and two others this was full of Bristol regulars, many with significant International experience (see @neilog post earlier). Certainly, we had some senior citizens also, but we were largely Academy plus third choices.

High in despatches were Frawley, Mullan, Rock, Dooley, Connors, Murphy and Deegan. Once again Academy Director and A's coaches deserve lots of credit. Also, these are just the sort of games that no amount of AIL exposure can replicate for developing players. B&I competition will be missed by Leinster Academy.

Encouraging to hear good reports about rock, there seemed to be a growing consensus that he was a bit of an O'Connor or Heffernan, ie won't make it in the senior team. There's talk of a 6-match 'A' interprovincial series being brought in, it won't be as good as the B&I Cup but it's better than nothing.

Porter for Exeter it seems. Good on him.

Also McCarthy starting here means no Lowe unless Fardy is dropped/ injured
He's gotten awfully fond of that brick

I wonder why they wouldn't give Lowe a run out for the A team if he's not involved with senior team.

You can only have two players with long hair in an A squad, unless you have a child with long hair, in which case you get an excemption.

While it is great to win the A games I think that its real value is the game time and match experience the young guys get. While a few older blokes get thrown in to the pot I am not sure Lowe needs the game time or the experience.

Also it might be a bit unfair on the opposition.

Yea Game time is the last thing Lowe needs, he is on a wrap around season. By Easing him in now it will be of huge benefit come the end of the season. Good to have him as a fly on the wall in the dressing room at a big game to buy into the ethos of Leinster
