Re: Leinster A 17-18
At least we’ll get a chance for revenge over the Easter weekend. Here’s the draw for the quarterfinals:
Ealing Trailfinders v Yorkshire Carnegie
Jersey v Munster A
Leinster A v Doncaster Knights
Bedford v Ulster A

Re: Leinster A 17-18
Think the B&I Cup has a rule that sides from the same pool can’t meet in the QF.
Last year Ulster and Jersey had this scenario.

Only the Knights Try's I'm afraid but some of the defending wasn't great!

Re: Leinster A 17-18
What the fcuk were we doing for their last try?! Was that the last play of the game or something?
Re: Leinster A 17-18
It was on about 76 minutes. We were 21 30 at the time. It was madness. We did score another try after this though.wixfjord wrote:What the fcuk were we doing for their last try?! Was that the last play of the game or something?

There's a row in Wales at the moment about Regional A sides. If they get them they'll want competition.Peg Leg wrote:The loss of this competition is probably one of the greatest risks to Leinster Rugby's ability to retain players. That and the much vaunted academy production line.
Anyone heard a suggested replacement?
The Scots are setting up a "Super Six" competition to sit between the top league and the Pro14 sides. Think that's a year or 2 away, but presumably they'll be interested if they can put together competitive sides. And yeah I know they dropped out of the B & I but their teams just werent up to it.
Ruddock's tackle stats consistently too low for me to be taken seriously as a Six Nations blindside..... Ruddock's defensive stats don't stack up. - All Blacks Nil, Jan 15th, 2014
England A 8 - 14 Ireland A, 25th Jan 2014

Re: Leinster A 17-18
Wouldn't mind seeing an Anglo-Irish cup for the A sides, either against the English Championship sides or the Aviva Premiership A sides. Either would be good competition. I don't think the Scottish or Welsh are reliable enough to pursue any competition with at A level. Possibly a Pro14 A league, but I'd imagine that's extremely unlikely.

Re: Leinster A 17-18
You’re right, it says that on Wikipedia. How is it drawn then? If it’s the team that qualified higher, we get Ulster A. If it’s the one lower, we get Munster A.neill_m wrote:Think the B&I Cup has a rule that sides from the same pool can’t meet in the QF.

Not sure. Interesting point, Cornish Pirates game was called off due to the weather. Being played in March, could overtake Yorkshire as no 8 team.D4surfer wrote:You’re right, it says that on Wikipedia. How is it drawn then? If it’s the team that qualified higher, we get Ulster A. CONFIRMED: Leinster 'A' will face Munster rugby 'A' in a home British & Irish Cup Quarter-Final on the weekend of 30th March.

I hope they don't get offended about how disrespectful we are if we name our A side to play in this match.LeinsterLeader wrote:CONFIRMED: Leinster 'A' will face Munster rugby 'A' in a home British & Irish Cup Quarter-Final on the weekend of 30th March.

This could be played on Good Friday. The last time that happened was in April 2012 in front of a crowd of about 5,000.
