Harsh on Jordi but shows a lot of belief in Leavy. Leavy is a great impact sub but I'd have thought it made more sense to bring him back in next week, assume he's looking good in training though.

Re: Glasgow v Leinster, Sat, 1pm, Sky.
The Times saying Isa had a procedure that will probably keep him out until after the November window. Disastrous start to the season for him, hope he stays fit once he comes back.
Re: Glasgow v Leinster, Sat, 1pm, Sky.
I'm taking it that SOB is out then?
Re: Glasgow v Leinster, Sat, 1pm, Sky.
Cronin and Healy in are big calls. Hopefully they don’t unbalance our scrum & lineout which will be key to winning here.
Both could relish the astroturf though. Serious carrying ability in that front row!

Impact off the bench seems to driving selection more & more. I dont think it is Murphy being dropped but perhaps they see Leavy offering more of an impact on 60 mins. With Cronin & Healy starting, we will need a fresh ball carrier to get over the gain line. I agree though harsh on Murphy.molloyjh wrote:That's harsh on Jordi if he's been dropped, no?El Diablo wrote:Cronin & Healy to start I believe. Leavy on the bench. Murphy is out of 23. Otherwise the above is spot on.

Murphy has actually been in good carrying form.El Diablo wrote:Impact off the bench seems to driving selection more & more. Again though Leavy's speed over the ground may be a benefit on their pitch.
McGrath, Tracy, Bent, Ryan, Leavy, JGP, Byrne, Byrne to bench then maybe?
Has Adam Byrne ever benched before for us?

Twice! Once last year (out of 20 games) and in his first game back in 2012.

I thought he'd gone to the Lions in the last transfer window?johng wrote:I'm taking it that SOB is out then?
Flash ahhhh ahhh, he'll save every one of us
Re: Glasgow v Leinster, Sat, 1pm, Sky.
SOB is now the cherry on top when he is available to us. The only issue is I do not think we get his best as the games for us are usually his come back get up to pace for Ireland games. I have no great issue with green coming first but it would be nice to have him for a few more games each year.

Garces reffing
Seriously harsh dropping Murphy was pushing for a start on the last few performances IMO.
Hope Cronin can sort his throwing.
There's enough in that team to win.

He's gotten awfully fond of that brick

Byrne dropped, or injured?
You know I'm going to lose,
And gambling's for fools,
But that's the way I like it baby, I don't want to live FOREVER!

Hoggy starting. Try less guessing in future. Or guess more accurately.kermischocolate wrote:I'm guessing he'll start on bench. Adam dropped entirely. I'd prefer Larmour to DK on the bench but our forward subs are superb.

Not unhappy about Garces.... excellent Scrum referee ... and never gets swayed by crowd

Re: Glasgow v Leinster, Sat, 1pm, Sky.
very very interesting calls in the forwards, seems like a strange thing to say given his early senior career but maybe Murphy misses out over/in favour of ball carrying
I agree with arsebsicuits, we have enough in the team to win, but the game is played on a hybrid synthetic fibre blend of composite rubber materials not paper

In other news 2 very strong sides- here's to a decent game.
