Mildly, does your knowledge of the younger players coming through extend to the other provinces.
If you had to select a Leinster team in four years time or an Ireland team who would be in, excluding players already established (say more than 10 caps).
EG James Lowe could be selected in an Ireland team but probably not Leinster although that's a flexible one, JGP would be in the same category.
Established would maybe be better defined as HEC established squad members.
Mirror, Mirror on the Wall who's the greatest player of them all? It is Drico your majesty.

what the best young talents in the other provinces?
Or a Ireland 23 in 2022, made up of players with less than 10 caps currently?

The second option might be simpler to address so an Ireland 23.
I suppose it would be silly not to include players like James Ryan who is an enigma because he has come through so young so use some latitude.
Maybe a new thread so as to not highjack this one.

He was in a position this time last season where he played the full 80mins against Argentina, including the last 20 at outside centre ... and then he missed the next twelve weeks out injured. James Lowe arrived and Larmour scored one of the greatest individual tries in the history of Leinster rugby in a bonus point win in Thomond on St Stephens day. So he just got left behind on the treatment table and everything moved past him.
But he's got ideal size [193cm/101kg] and is very good in the air. They're qualities that Joe Schmidt puts a higher value on than many other coaches: physical size as a threequarter and an aggressive aerial game. It's also worth remembering that Schmidt gave him his first Leinster start when he was 18 ... he obviously thinks he's a big talent. I suspect he sees him as a potential back-up to Stockdale in a big winger/small winger system.

It's clear that Schmidt rates him highly, because there is no real other logical explanation for him being there.
I doubt anybody would dispute his strengths: I think we are all universally excited at the prospect of him when he first broke through. It's just a shame the weaknesses remain.
I have no doubt that some of that is down to confidence, so a bit of time with Joe will do him good.
Certainly, given our availability crisis, he now has another chance to show 2016 wasn't just a flash in the pan. We need him back to that level.
Do you really see him as an understudy for Stockdale? He plays on the opposite wing.
You need at least 6 back three players to prepare for a game - and thats without anyone having an injury thats being minded or needs a rest or will be subbing on the 1sts. You also want some players to be similar in style to those you'll come up against - so for the All Blacks you need a big pacy powerful guy to rep for some of their wingers - which is why Byrne is there and a big powerful guy to rep for their centres which is why Farrell is there. (And if Connacht's Tom Farrell is the actual person I think he is, he lives pretty local to Carton House too)
