You keep repeating this. I dispute it.
I like it. Trying to reshape the outside world to match the one in your head. :)

The force is strong in this one.
:) Thank you Yoda.
I don't think I'm quite reshaping reality to suit my preference though.

I know the IRFU set up the provinces and has a major controlling stake in them. I know, and reluctantly accept, that the national side takes preference.
I just don't think our PRIMARY goal is to feed the national side. There is a diference.
If it were, why is there no mention of the national side in the Leinster Rugby mission statement, for example?
Even the IRFU strategy talks about a successful national team underpinned by winning provinces, with provincial academies to meet the needs of the professional game (no mention of the primary goal being to feed the national side). It sets specific goals for provinces winning the Heineken Cup.

If we provincial fans don't challenge and just swallow Nucifora's interpretation of Irish rugby's governance - in particular, that the primary goal of Leinster is to feed players into the national side - then it will become a new a IRFU rule: the goal of the Leinster academy is to churn out players who can be moved at the whim of the national rugby coach to their rivals, whilst still under contract. I will keep challenging that narrative, and find it depressing if other Leinster fans are willing to just accept it and join the dark side.

Yes.

:P

Noel Reid gives you versatility and frees up a further place on the bench, Frawley is a specialist outhalf. Big game for a pretty inexperienced guy just back from injury to potentially make ones comeback whereas Reid has over a century of caps though without ever truely convincing, particularly at 10. There are both benefits and drawbacks to either selection

Dunno about that. He played a lot at 12 for Ireland U20s, and has done really well at fullback for Leinster 'A'

Frawley only started playing 10 for Leinster A last season due to Marsh's injury upto that point he had been playing a lot of 12 and 15.

One less option at 9 next season if Gavin Cummiskey is to be believed. This would be madness given Luke will most likely be missing for a large chunk of the season.

Munster's Halfback Options going forward,
I thought of that, but they won't all be their options: they'll take their pick, or the IRFU will do it for them. We'll get to keep some of them, you'd hope.

Outhalf minutes this season

Johnny Sexton(8+0) = 552
Ross Byrne(8+5) = 633
Ciaran Frawley(3+4) = 353

Reid too.

Harder to measure though.

Sexton would be higher if he hadnt been injured against Munster.
